Darius Morris Re-Tweeting Inspirational Quotes
Darius just went on a re-tweeting binge, still not breaking his actual silence on Twitter. However, the sound of these tweets is defeaning and scream (to me at least) that Mark Synder is a fucking prick and he's back for sure next season. Anyway, here they are:
"I can accept failure, everyone fails at something. But I can't accept not trying." - Michael Jordan
"Failures are finger posts on the road to achievement." - C. S. Lewis
"Failure is nature's plan to prepare you for great responsibilities." - Napoleon Hill
"The past cannot be changed. The future is yet in your power." - Mary Pickford
"God never sends us more than we can handle." - Mother Theresa
"We must embrace pain and burn it as fuel for our journey." - Kenji Miyazawa
"Only those who dare to fail greatly can ever achieve greatly." - Robert F. Kennedy
Take it FWIW, but I think his message is clear. He's going to work even harder this offseason towards becoming the best PG in college basketball.
Edited: Now that I look at the dates, he was probably talking about something completely different.
From what I can see, these are from March 14, of course I could be reading these wrong on Twitter.
Pro-Tip: He re-tweeted those an hour ago, and the original posts were from some "Great Quotes" account that tweeted that stuff around March 14th-16th.
And like I said, I could be reading them wrong.
Look, I appreciate the heads up on how you could have mis-read what it says. However, you DID misread it. And apparently so did a mod, unless you are a mod. I don't know. Anyway, it's fucking Twitter.
Whoa, don't get mad at me. I admitted my error, no need to get moody. And no, I am not a mod.
Way to get pissy and be a DICK
Wow you like to flip out don't you
I don't think you can conclude anything by this.
I conclude that Morris likes pithy inspirational quotes.
Well, Your Honor. We have plenty of hearsay and conjecture. Those are kinds of evidence.
The fact that certain evidence is mere hearsay and conjecture (as compared to "hard" evidence) never fail to give the Free Press pause before reporting, so why should it prevent MGoMembers from posting on the Board? If good enough for the Freep, good enough for MGoBlog, right?
WRONG!
Simpsons quote
I love it. The Law Quad is an outstanding structure.
D Mo's game is starting to remind me of none other than Rajon Rondo's. Darius is quite young and will continue to progress, but at this stage in his development, I feed Rondo is a reasonable comparison. What do you guys think?
I think that's a pretty obvious comparison. PG who likes to get his teammates involved, flashy, can drive to the hoop, but can't shoot very well.
Although I think his jumper is much better than Rondo's at the same age (although Rondo declared after his freshman year). And I would still rank it above Rondo's right now (just slightly).
If he can work on his shooting, ala Derrick Rose this past offseason, he can be something every media outlet is talking about next season.
I think he played at Kentucky for two years.
A better comparison is Chauncey without a three point shot. Morris likes to use his size way more than Rondo. Have you ever seen Rondo post anyone up?
........and I thought Mark Snyder was reaching.
This is getting pathetic. Relax.
He will be back.
We've had players (wrongly) using Twitter to announce/speculate about teammates' injuries.
And now Darius Morris quoting Mary Pickford(?!). I wonder if Darius knows who Mary Pickford was. Perhaps all LA kids know about "America's Sweetheart"?
Anyway -- is there some rule, some convention, some understanding, that would prevent Darius from saying something along the lines of what the OP wrote? Here, I'll write a Tweet for @dariusmorris4:
I said that I am returning next year I don't know where @freepwolverines gets his stories, cuz none of us talk to him anymore.
If he were to say that, that would inevitably lead to more hits for the Freep website. He already said after the game that he's returning. Unless he changes his mind, he doesn't need to say anything more.
I think Rondo may have been a little quicker and can go left. That said, D-Mo probably has better height, but Rondo's length was pretty ridiculous IIRC.
quotes be used to justify a theory that the references to future success, trying hard and dealing with difficulty deal point to his impending entry into the NBA?
Let's try this - read the quotes from Morris that say he is coming back. Until you see something definitive that suggests otherwise, there's no need to speculate. We have word from the man himself.
Hey mods - thanks for changing my title, even though you are wrong and I am right.
THE QUOTES ARE FROM ANOTHER TWITTER ACCOUNT THAT DARIUS RE-TWEETED TODAY. JUST A COUPLE OF HOURS AGO.
GOOD LORD. IT'S FUCKING TWITTER. NOT HARD TO FIGURE OUT. Shit.
coming from someone making such an impossible leap of logic. No one really cares when he said the quotes; the quotes do not mean a damn thing regarding his early entry into the NBA.
Thanks a lot, Captain Obvious.
You have quickly become my least favorite poster.
DEY DERK ERRR JERBSSSSS
lol more serious than facebook
(but seriously he retweeted them like an hour ago i just happened to see em pop up)
You can't handle the truth!
I don't know which mod changed the title before, but I made the last: "Darius Morris Re-Tweeting Inspirational Quotes"
Since the quotes don't seem to reference staying or going or Snyder at all just leave that part out of the title.
He is just saying that "he is never going to give up", doesn't mean that he hates Snyder or whether he is leaving or staying. Those quotes are from a random other site which is also on the asst. coach's twitter (bacardi). However, he should hate Snyder and come back next year, its for his best interest...
