You described a black guys speaking as "eloquent and well-spoken". I've read that's not something we should be saying in these hyper-sensitive times we live in.

I'm being nit picky because I think he can really be one of those solid but not superstar upperclassmen wide receivers and 2 years > 1 year
Because I haven't seen Jehu Chesson play in person (and I'm guessing that you have), I can only go by the limited number of plays that I've seen on TV, and then, only to the extent that Jehu Chesson has been shown from the beginning of the play to the end. I have no idea how he grades out when the coaches review the game films. But that block against Notre Dame stands out as one of the best blocks I've seen in any football game during the past several years.
In my ever-fading memory, as a card carrying member of the Medicare Generation, I seem to recall that the good blocks that he's made, as well as the tackles he's made as a gunner on the punt coverage unit, seem to outweigh his mistakes. So humor this old man. At least until I've reviewed all the evidence, let me believe that he's "a great downfield blocker."
He's a personal favorite, as I kept an eye on his recruitment while he played at Ladue Horton Watkins High School in the western burbs of St. Louis. His speed won him numerous state titles in track--but it was always his leadership on the football field that impressed his coaches and teamates. This young man represents UM in a classy manner, but do not doubt his competitiveness. I'm expecting a breakout year with Jehu blowing the top off of coverage for some memorable deep ball receptions. Maybe the stars will align for this exceptional young man and we will all be the better for it.
there is a lot of talk about how we don't have big play talent in the WR corps. That isn't true, its just that the talent hasn't been developed and/or utilized. I don't think Darboh's a big play guy, but Chesson is ridiculously fast. We haven't really seen some of the other talented WR yet either, such as Drake Harris (injury), Mo Ways (redshirt), Canteen (didn't play much as a frosh), and Cole (true frosh). The question is whether Jed Fisch and Harbaugh will get the most out of our talent in the passing game, not whether or not the potential exists. I will put my money on the passing game pleasantly surprising us this season, especially the second half.
fast? How the hell do you know that? Maybe it's because our previous staff never used it? Personally, Darboh seems to have more upside, although I hope Jehu has a great season.
Jehu just needs to wear the sunglasses under his helmet to have a breakout season. Sharp kid it seems, sounds like he'll excel at whatever.
MGoVideos are upon us!!!
The first thing out of his mouth is wrong. This is not even close to the first time Big Ten Media Days has been more than a one-day event. An error in fact is surprising for a guy who appears to be battery operated. Student reporter Annie Sabo does a better job than this dork.
I think Ed is good but I definitely miss Karsch. He was able to put the fact that he went to MSU behind to be a great interviewer and analyst for Michigan.
