2013 WR LaQuon Treadwell Offered
According to Anthony Standifer's twitter, his 2013 teammate LaQuon Treadwell has received his Michigan offer. There's been talk that Treadwell is very high on the Wolverines and his recruitment might not last that long after that. Ace can probably elaborate, but very possible Michigan might get #4 in the 2013 class (if your counting Clark) very soon.

Has he appeared in any rankings or watch lists?

Not on scouts inital 100 and not on ESPN watchlist either
disclaimer: not ment to mean I don't want him

no he hasn`t. He will be a high 3, low 4 though. His stock is on the rise, been tearing it up this season.

Junior receiver Treadwell plans two more Ann Arbor trips Michigan commit Anthony Standifer isn't the only Division-I prospect on the Crete (Ill.) Monee football team. His junior teammate, wide receiver Laquon Treadwell, is also drawing the attention of college coaches.http://footballrecruiting.rivals.com/barrier_noentry.asp?ReturnTo=&sid=…

Hmm...another source has said an offer is to come, contingent on his grades this semester...

news until tonight. Just saw it from TomVH too. Behind the paywall I think, tho.

Hooray for newer news! Congrats to him. Does anybody have any film on the kid? I can't say I've ever seen any.

Well since he's a 2013 there's no real initial rankings. According to Trieu and many other Scout analysists they believe Treadwell is an elite wide receiver.

I'm in no way saying that you are wrong, however, I thought trieu said he wasn't sure where he'd put laquon in a ranking because he hasn't seen much of him yet?

The reason why scouts have not seen much of him yet is because his school is not heavily scouted. There is also some question about the level of competition in their league. I wouldn't be too concerned because the coaches have seen him before when they scouted Standifer.

FWIW, Trieu really likes Treadwell, enough to pull a Freddie Jackson:
(Trieu quote) "He's a faster Jason Avant"....sooooo, there's that.
EDIT: Also said the only team he thinks that had seen his film up to this week is Michigan because he just got it together. Nebraska was by this week and Allen thinks Treadwell is going to blow up with offers soon.

with the caption "Future Wolverines." I'd say our chances are looking very, very good.
I was going to make a post about it but a) I forgot and b) I wasn't sure as to how the board would react to something from a recruit's Facebook.

gotta love the Facebook stalking posts

It was the only reason I knew about it.

This smacks of a quality 4 star WR with size, yes please. Mr. Morris needs MOAR targets!

I would love for us to have a 6'3" WR. Treadwell may be a little underrated right now, but I think he could be a big playmaker for us. Morris will be slinging deep balls all day to Treadwell and that makes me super excited thinking about it.

Trieu went to his game last week against Rich Central and said from what he saw, very impressed by Treadwell, I believe his stock will go up big time, just like Standifer before committing to Michigan, he started receiving offers from Notre Dame, and heavy interest from Oregon. I think now that Treadwell has this Michigan offer he might start seeing some more offers come in, but at the same time some teams might not offer because why waste one on a player possibly committing to a school soon.

a team go about "wasting" an offer?
October 11th, 2011 at 11:33 PM ^
In terms of "wasing" an offer I was saying a team might not offer him if he's going to commit to Michigan soon. There's no point in offering him if he already knows where he's going.

who knows. Maybe your offer can get a kid to re-think things

There is video on Rivals.com of Standifer and Treadwell's most recent game. Treadwell, looks very good, almost guarenteed to be a 4 star IMO. I would guess in the top 250 range as well.

This kid is a beast, and the fact that he has been drooling over the possibility of playing with Anthony. It leads me to believe that he won't take a long time to sit on this offer. Buckle Up!

...except in a lifetime of driving Chevrolets, they appear to have never mastered seatbelts. Oh well. I'll use the wife's car.

Scout has him 6-3 190.
Rivals has him 6-3 183.
Just thought I'd post this. Magnus...thoughts?

From the little I've seen, my guess is that he'll be a low 4-star prospect. With his level of competition, I doubt he'll progress to a superstar-level recruit . . . but he could still be a good player at the next level. I just haven't seen enough to write a full evaluation.

laquon just posted a mid season highlight tape.

I was hoping this would come. Can't believe he doesn't have any other offers. How long until his Hello thread?
