I went to Champaign in 2007; had a great time. It was a night game, and the atmosphere was awesome. Of course, it didn't hurt that we won the game in semi-dramatic fashion. :) I was treated well before, during, and after the game. I was seated by myself away from the Michigan section. I got a fair amount of ribbing, but the kind that's as fun for me as it is for them. Nothing out of line.
Have a good time!
I'm leaving this afternoon for the weekend; I won't return until PM on Labor Day itself. I tried to copy my Dynasty to a flash drive so I could play it while I'm at my buddy's house (he's got a PS3 too, it should work), but NCAA10 files disallow copying. NCAA09 files copy just fine; I don't know why EA doesn't want me to play my Dynasty at my friend's house.
When I get to my friends, I'll sign into his PS3 under my account name; maybe it will let me download the dynasty that way. If not, go ahead and sim my game against smassie03.
+1 for the growth of superlatives from the subject to the body.

I love it. I'd +2 you if I could, to mirror the effect.
You had me beat, fair and square, and then you pull that BS?
What was that all about?
If you were playing the computer, you would have gotten serious sportsmanship penalties for shenanigans like that.
I am NOT pleased. This stinks of Shock's previous complaint - play the game like it's real football.
10 pt lead, 1:30 left, you've just recovered my failed onside attempt around the 40, and you call back to back passing plays? With the best running QB of all time? You could have run out the clock on that drive, but you rubbed my nose in it instead.
After the back-to-back pass plays produce a TD, you fake an onside kick?
If not for the final 1:30 of that game, I would have pleasantly congratulated you on the excellent win, and felt good about it. You DID beat me fair and square, and did it well. Now, I'm calling you out for your petty bush-league BS.
Thanks for ruining my night.
I *only* wear Maize to Michigan Stadium, on the off chance that there is a Maize Out that day. It looks sooooo much better, especially in the sun.
I read the note above about how a popular shirt would get offered in both Maize and Blue versions. I don't want to see the blue version; I think we need more Maize in Michigan Stadium.
Sadly, despite how awesome a design might or might not be, it will get downgraded at least one star by me if it's on blue.
Therefore, 3* for this one. I like the ninja. I don't think that the Heisman pose looks like he's wearing a dress. Good design, clean lines, not too busy.
that "people perceived [sic] the Bit Ten conference ... to be the worst ..." without backing it up. Where's your data? Where's the opinion poll that illustrates this? Is your data set a couple of buddies you were talking to last Friday?
Frankly, that just won't fly.
It does seem like there are a lot of minor injuries in this edition of the game. I'll see three or four players get hurt during the game, but it's never worse than "will return soon." I think I've seen somebody out for the game once, and never had anyone get hurt for any longer than the current game.
I'm playing on Heisman right now. I'm only 3 games in so far, but I've beat Western and Eastern, but couldn't beat Notre Dame. I bet I go 6-6 or 7-5 on Heisman with this team.
One can I start a diary with 0 points, but needs 20 points to start a thread on the MGoBoard; shouldn't it be the other way around?
PS - in the spirit of FAQ, I think more people would like to know the answer. Thus, the comment instead of a private email. Thanks for understanding.
I don't think this will work; everyone has different schedules. I think that the humans playing each other should work out when they can play between themselves.
Is there an in-game messaging system to help facilitate this?
If not, we could all join Skype or something and coordinate that way.
Will there be adjustments to the non-conference schedules as well? Removing FCS schools seems like a good idea. As a school with two human non-conference opponents already, I also support adding some other human non-conference games to all schedules.
If everyone needed to play as Michigan, we'd never be able to set up a dynasty like this. You can't have 12 Michigans in the game.
I think it makes sense to rule that nobody can play as Michigan in this Dynasty. After all, let's assume that the player with Michigan does well in the dynasty; who wants to be forced to play *against* Michigan in the NC game?
Not only do I have an extra human game against ACC GA Tech to end my season, but I have an extra human game against B12 OK State to *start* my season. My other non-conf are PAC10 AZ State (hopefully not also a human, thrivemusic), and FCS Tennessee Tech.
Gonna be a tough season here in Bulldog territory.
this puts 3 teams each in 4 different conferences. ShockFX and I will have an extra game due to the UGA/GA Tech rivalry at the end of the season. It's also possible for extra human games in all but the Pac10 due to the conference champ games.
UGA, LSU, and Florida; we've got a conference going here. And with Georgia Tech represented as well, I'm going to have at least 3 games against real people in this thing! I guess I better practice a bit....
You can export your draft classes from NCAA to Madden.
I always like to export the 4 years of named players from the Dynasty I play in NCAA to Madden, and then draft UM players over 4 years of a Lions franchise.
Silly, sure, but that's one reason that I like having the names in the game.
I'll take the southern Bulldogs. Have they released the named rosters yet, or are we just so anxious to play that we'll play with numbers?

I like the post, it's well thought out and well researched.
The chart included, however, runs over the right-side MGoBlog sidebar in a normal-width browser window. This could be done better.

I've been playing on All-American, but am trying to upgrade my skills with this version so I can play on Heisman. My second team in Georgia, so I'd love to play them in the dynasty; I don't need to be Michigan. I think whoever starts the dynasty should get that honor.
I also want to wait until the rosters are out.
Send me an invite when you're ready!
I play the game on All-American, and have always played the game on All-American. Every time I try it on Heisman difficulty, the scales are tipped wayyyy against me. On All-American, the scales are just slightly in my favor.
Any advice on how to get better at the harder difficulty? What skills do I need to develop to compete on Heisman and have it feel like a fair, but competitive matchup?
Hey, it burned us twice this season (one time legitimately, it can be said). It's just coming back for us now; and this is a great time to have some good karma.
If you have the right ISP (AT&T and Verizon work, others may) you can watch via http://espn360.com . I've been watching most ESPN games that way this year (I don't have cable or dish), and I think it's pretty awesome. Try it out tonight for the Hawai'i at Boise State game to make sure it works.
