You are writing paragraphs about a pretty innocuous statement expressing disappointment in the offenses potential. I would hate to see you read an actually harsh criticism. 

You are just getting hung up on "wasted" and assigning it too much negative value.

It's just shorthand for saying: "Michigan is going to have a dominant defense again. Unfortunately, the offense may not hold it's weight and that defense may not get to compete for another title."

Not everything is so deep it needs analysis and multiple paragraphs explaining it or arguing it. Saying that comment you responded to is "vitriolic" is something else. 

It's a bummer that they may not have the O to correspond with another championship level D. That's it my man.

As others have stated, other schools have different levels of credits they will take towards graduation and degree progress. And schools do have different acceptance guidelines for incoming freshman athletes than other students.

I read your comment "There is one LB in the last class," since it ommitted "left" as to be one that was debating whether UM was bringing in 3-4 LB each class.

They have been bringing in 3-4 each class, and since they only really play 2 at a time like the other poster said, this is what's gonna happen.

Beasley and Sullivan in the 24 class. Plus Barnham. Mason Curtis was a HS LB who might be and edge but who know yet. 

Bridgeman and Moore in 23. Plus Hausman. And that doesn't account for Hewlett and Ismail, who they seem to still be figuring out positions for.

I don't think anything has super changed. The staff is just doing due diligence a d targeting the right guys.

Sophs have always been in the Frosh/Grads bucket of getting in. Under 60 credits is doable, as is having a degree already. 

Remember, it's about earning a UM degree mainly, not that their grades aren't good enough. 

"Elite Level" is overselling it quite a bit.

What they have explained regularly is that they like the IDEA of Orji and that they think it would be cool to have Denard-lite again. 

If you are only going to use stats instead of context, yeah.  

Why does the MGoStaff want Orji to start so bad and why are they so sure about him as the starter? 

Is it just being enamored with his physical tools and thinking it would be cool if he was the guy, or do they really think that he's the best QB and best chance at winning.

Come on. You are reaching here if you are trying to make this an argument. Going in to spring games, JJ had played in game action, made actual passes in games, and looked like a competent passer. This is not a good argument.

You are the one trying to say that Orji's stats make him look viable, I'm saying that you are also reaching here if that is your argument. 

I mean just watch his throws instead of saying stats that aren't incredibly impressive. 

If your evidence is orji hitting 60 percent of his relatively easy throws for under 6 yards an attempt....idk man.
