How would police reform change the Jacob Blake incident? I am not trying to be a dick. I just would like to hear your perspective on what you expect cops to do in this specific scenario.
They arrive to a domestic disturbance and are probably aware that the guy has a long criminal history. He does not comply, there is an altercation, they try to subdue him, they try to tase him, he continues to resist, has a weapon, and reaches into his vehicle. There are plenty of videos out there similar to this incident where the guy reaches into the car, grabs a gun, and immediately starts shooting. Do you expect the cops to wait for shots to be fired? Should they just let him go? What specific reforms would prevent this incident?
No one outside of the coastal areas, flood zones, or mobile home residents are advised to leave their homes. You load up on water and supplies and ride out the storm. We're sitting here just north of Orlando. We've had heavy rain and some wind, but there is very little threat to our safety. You are severely misinformed.
That's the big issue to me. Ace thinks Kaepernick can sit through the anthem, hate cops, make any claims he wants to about racism, etc., but the second that someone disagrees with his motivation...watch out!
When a parent takes center stage in a recruitment, I just assume the kid is going elsewhere. It seems like it becomes about what the parent gets out of the deal rather than the kid. Not saying that's the case here, but that's the impression I get.
I heard Dan Dierdorf saying the same thing on sports radio a week ago. My guess is that these guys just glance at a roster that doesn't account for redshirts. It's surprising that Dierdorf is so out of the loop.
They typically run shuttles from downtown near the Amway Center to the Citrus Bowl. West of 1-4 headed towards the Citrus Bowl is a very rough neighborhood and walking isn't the best idea. Anything east of I-4, which is the actual downtown, is much safer. The Bohemian is nice too.
Jabrill, everyone supports you. We've turned you into a star without you ever making an impact on the field. You have plenty of food to eat, a place to sleep, school is paid for, and you are receiving world-class training that could lead you to a multi-million dollar career. Maybe cut back on the complaining a little bit. Thanks. Signed a Michigan fan that isn't willing to suck the dick of every four or five star recruit regardless of what they do.
Cool story, bro...My wife and I went to a steakhouse in downtown Orlando last weekend. We grabbed a couple drinks at the bar before being seated. On the way to our table we walked past Mitch and one of his teammates having dinner. I gave him a "Hey Mitch! Go Blue!" and he gave a Go Blue back. We ended up sitting at a table across from Juwan Howard who was also having dinner in the restaurant.
George O'Leary, the UCF coach, was on the radio in Orlando this morning complaining about the camps. His argument was that he doesn't want to be on the road for two weeks in the summer to try and keep up with Harbaugh. He was also saying something about how the camps are all about recruiting and that it wasn't possible to actually be teaching kids in these settings. Basically he made no sense and came across as an angry old man.
That's what people are missing. Larkin is an elite (or very near elite) prospect. Him leaving is not a sign that the sky is falling around the program. Copp was a different story, but Larkin leaving reminds me of Pacioretty a few years ago. He's a guy that will spend a couple years transitioning from the AHL to the NHL and then hopefully move into being a top line kind of player. He proved himself capable at the World Championships and made a reasonable decision to move on. He was even quoted as saying that his year at Michigan was the best/most fun year he's had in hockey.
There may be some issues with the program, but Larkin leaving isn't a sign of that. He played pretty well at the World Championships and proved that he can hang at the next level.
Adam Schefter is garbage. He repeats the same useless crap over and over. Michigan can offer a coach $49M, but can't spend $100k on iPads...yea, that makes perfect sense. I want Harbaugh so bad for football reasons, but it would also be great to see all these guys and their "sources" be proven wrong.
My wife and I are flying up from Orlando for the game, and our parents are taking the train in from Ann Arbor. It will be a great weekend in Chicago regardless of the onfield results. I'm glad to hear that it's a 3:30 start. More time to tailgate. Are there any bars near the stadium for pregame festivities?
I thought I caught a glimpse of it during one of the montages. It looked more like a little stake. To me, the douche dancing around after he got kicked out of the game is more embarrassing, but winners can do shit like that.

OSU refused to throw the ball against Sparty due to the weather. It's a lot easier to stop the run when you know it's coming.

Spearmint Rhino.
He was considered a bust by a lot of us here too. Another good lesson that it takes longer for some kids to develop and adjust to the college game.

I've been there twice. Madison is a great town, but Camp Randall sucks. It's just a big block of cement.
March Madness in Las Vegas for the first weekend (Thursday - Sunday).

Nicely done. I caught on to what you were doing there.
Happy Birthday, Hokester! Kick some ass this weekend!
Orgeron is basically Hoke hopped up on a case of Red Bull.
The Way Way Back, Scenic Route, and Kid Cannabis. All are on Netflix and worth a watch.
