Hopefully the picture works.
Clearly, it didn't. Here you go.
You got a +1 just for posting a working link.
I still do not understand why English left. There were snaps to be had.
Personal matter (for English).
Clemons is the one that makes you wonder. That was just frustration, impatience, and a little bit of money.
He would have a clear role as a starting BIG receiver.
Cornelius Johnson --> Darrius Clemons
Roman Wilson --> Tyler Morris
Semaj Morgan --> Semaj Morgan
'23 Tyler Morris --> Fredrick Moore
That group is young, but capable.
Clemons went back home to Oregon to play for Oregon State. Unless you have inside information, I don’t think it’s fair to attribute that to “frustration, impatience, and a little bit of money.” He very well might have just wanted to be closer to home, and it’s not like Oregon State is a NIL powerhouse
The rumor from, maybe it was Sam Webb, was Clemens wasn’t a fan of the physicality Michigan’s receivers, and Michigan as a whole play with.
IOW, he didn't want to block. And if there's one thing you have to do, and have to want to do, for Michigan, it's block.
Teams that don’t have good downfield blocking are not good teams.
Which is crazy because Clemons is a bug dude.
Which is strange because he had to have shown something as a blocker at practice to be on the field. Shoot he was out there with O’Leary in the second half in the Rose Bowl blocking.
Also, he seemed pretty jovial after the NCG putting confetti in his shoe.
They're both home though? Clemons family lived in Michigan until he was like halfway through HS. Home for most of his life was Lansing. He was good friends with Andrel Anthony.
Seth I think home is where my parents are. Personally speaking. Might be the same for him.
So he moved to a Group of 5 conf? Might as well go to Toledo.
I don't get the Clemons love. I mean, I get that he has the perfect measurements for a WR. But he never really showed it on the field. Morris played earlier than he did, and played a helluva lot more. I'd have been way more upset if Morris had bolted than Clemons, if that situation was reversed.
The work of Nehru and Gandhi, plus the war debt from WW II and the cost of rebuilding. And for the ordinary British citizen there was little taste for continuing maintenance of a distant massive colony, given the resistance in that colony and the cost of maintaining an administration.
Plus hard to eat food as bland as the English food they were accustomed to in India
That's a fancy way of saying "constant diarrhea".
I love Indian food and have never had this issue. Are we sure this isn't a you problem and not an issue with the food itself?
I have British relatives who were in India pre-independence and came to love Indian food. My great-aunt told me that her father-in-law tested the mettle of all his sons' girlfriends by serving them curry. "Ach Willie, she's no the garl for you. She canna take her curry."
Also, India Pale Ale.
There are dozens of decent-good Indian restaurants on every block in England. The Brits LOVE them some Indian food...
On a sorta related note, I started dating an Indian woman the day before the 2023 Michigan football season started. We haven't lost a game since then. I told her, whatever you're doing, continue to do it.
Oh and by the way, and more to the point, she cooks AMAZING food. I've never eaten so well in my life.
I probably would have gone with "because we opened up a big can of whoop ass on them at Yorktown," but I have to admire when you went with it.
I would have responded that most Americans either did not have ancestors at the time or were loyalists.
We in speaking of the Revolution is a very tricky thing.
The British withdrew from the American colonies because--and it may hurt for the more patriotic among us to hear this--the American colonies were relatively small potatoes for them. The constant push for expansion beyond the Appalachians on the part of the colonists, and the conflicts with Native populations this caused, made it pain in the ass to administer given the revenue the colonies generated. The real imperial money-makers were the Indian colony they were locking down and, within a decade or so, shoving opium down China's throat. There was also the ongoing cold war with France, and the fact that the French only supported the revolution to encourage a protracted war that drained Britain's coffers meant that, at the end of the day, it just wasn't worth it for them.
the American colonies were relatively small potatoes for them.
Is "the best colony" an honor you really want anyway? That's like having a pimp point at you and say, "This is my best prostitute." It means far more to the pimp than it does to you.
Hell yes! I get pride from knowing we were Britain's bottom bitch until we became the big pimp ourselves. 😊
Still "We." If you want to just go by direct ancestry everybody's from everywhere and nobody's from anywhere.
Still a big can of whoop-ass.
I would have gone with "they didn't leave, they were kicked." KISS.
I have an odd feeling that he will contribute more than most are expecting. 🤷♂️
I think he was brought in to field a decent scout team and maybe play special teams, but I hope I'm wrong and you're right. There's no downside to bringing him in.
Daylen Baldwin had 17 catches for 256 yds and 2 scores. Obviously different players/situations, but I'd take that in a heartbeat.
247 says he enrolled in 2019. Must be a redshirt senior now using his covid year with the good guys. Hope he makes a splash!
I'm hoping he'll be the Josh Wallace of WRs.
Press conference from YSU game:
If he is playing significant snaps Michigan is in deep shit. This dude was a role player on a FCS team.
His other offer was Mercer.
I understand your lack of faith, but he was their third-leading receiver (33 receptions for 467 yards, 4 TDs) last year:

I think that elevates him above "role player."
Our OC said, gotta fill holes in the roster somehow... Doesn't inspire a lot of confidence in what the kid might do... Or in what we have
I think what we have is fine, we just don’t have enough of it. I assume the coaches were clear with Charleston that he’s a depth piece/special teamer and I’m happy to have him in that role. He probably won’t get meaningful offensive snaps but he gets to say forever that he played for Michigan and he gets a free year of Michigan grad school. Good deal all around.
He's a depth guy, unless the WR gets riddled with injuries I wouldn't worry too much.
POSBANG? POSBANG!!!
6’0” 190lbs receiver. Grad transfer looks like.
Majored in Math so will fit in just fine
Welcome young man
Hell yeah!!
Equivalent to a preferred walk-on getting a scholarship. Doesn't move the needle. I'd love to be proven wrong though.
His only other offer was Mercer.
Warm body.
Good for him, but this isn’t much of an add at all in terms of on field performance. If this guy is getting significant snaps…yikes,
Sir, this is a Welcome Thread...
We swooped in with our advanced scouting, superior recruiting and massive NIL program and locked this one up before anyone even saw this coming. Gold baby.
Apparently Amorion Walker is considering a return if he can play WR only.
I see that as a major pickup considering the need and what he brings (tall, rangy, leapy).
dunno why he wouldn't be a take...get it done Sherrone. SMASH
The fact that it's taking this long... Hold your butts.
I heard credits probably wont transfer. Honestly folks do we really want to lower our standards just to be a football factory?
/s because you have to these days.
