Its an entirely different era of college football. Offenses are flying everywhere. As good as last year's defense was, OSU put up 24. I'm not sure our offense will put up 24 on OSU or Oregon this year. Luckily those aren't early games. But Texas is
I don't disagree, but we slammed it into the line insanely so for the past 3 years with established QBs and OL play. How frustrated will we be with a brand new OL and QB who can't make them pay for it? We can't expect Orji to be McCarthy, but... I agree.. if Orji can run a lot of play action with a mix of taking off (unplanned and planned), that is a variable we didn't employ much last year (because we didnt need to and because mccarthy was smaller)
What happens when we run it into the line 2x and Orji can't make defenses pay for loading the box? What happens on 3rd and 9?
How will we avoid disaster turnovers (which we did for the most part last year)?
We've complained about our WRs not getting open for some time.. the guys we have now are unproven and perhaps not of the same pedigree. What happens when Orji forces it in?
Then, as a result, will the reigns tighten and Orji will be unable to learn/grow from it?
Of course we can't get an advantage. USC is at 330 for West Coast viewers. But we lose our advantage of them playing at 9 am. Can't wait until we go to the West Coast and play a 9 pm game
i dont get it. if he already enrolled in classes, which either began 3 months ago, or for the summer session, then why are we even bothering? And okay, maybe poke around, but... why would insiders find any optimism?
Every time i hear about Michigan doing something with NIL, my hopes diminish one step further. It feels like we are admiring the problem, but never addressing it directly. There is only one real outcome that I think will draw in the talent that folks lament that we cannot attain. Pay up front. Some believe we must. Some think by not doing so, we create a better culture. But, appointing a NIL Tzar, and collective this, and NIL that... whatever.. money to players gets talent. Both in the portal and in recruiting.
We won a title, so its hard to get mad about anything at this point, but it does seem like an arms race with osu/oregon/etc.. and we aren't losing, per se.. we just aren't really participating in THAT specific race.
I second this. i did this (growing up in the 90s). boboli is still around and i just did it with my family and they all enjoyed. very fun option... its not the tastiest on earth, but the experience is fun
i know this doesnt answer it directly, but making pizza in my big green egg is a total win... i make flat bread style pizza and it comes out amazingly well.
But, its not gas.. Once I get it up to temp (550-650), pizzas are done in 6-8 minutes and i can knock out about 6-7 of them quickly while folks eat up.
The upside of course, is that you can use the egg for tons of other great stuff in addition.

Also, if we claim that we are amazing at developing players and others are not... then we can't judge the players poor output/result only on these players "sucking"... its probably a combo of players not living up to hype and not being developed, but to assume its because they all suck seems kinda ridiculous
wonder if guys like waller used his visit to recruit him to Kentucky.
Also, i dont know that i care about kentucky that much... i think its more disappointing/shocking to see how overall recruiting is struggling quite a bit... I can't imagine that in May, folks expected us to have 4 commits total. Big one this week with Gach, but its hard to count on anything at this point.
I will say that kentucky and ohio seems more similar as states/places than ohio and michigan. so kids going there... seems normal.
There should be a "don't pick them" fund set up for players who don't come here.. we'll give you 100k not to go to x. I'm sure OSU has already thought about it.
