Stupid autocorrect for Zak.
Zinter, man’s
Hundreds swear he’s overrated while thousands swear by him
Who are the players still out there? I have tried to look online, but just clutter with all the draft articles. Would like to see the Lions bring them into camp!
And congrats to all those drafted! You made us all proud!
UNDRAFTED FREE AGENTS:
Josh Wallace
Karsen Barnhart
Drake Nugent
Braiden McGregor
Trente Jones
Cam Goode
James Turner
Of this group, Trente is the standout imo. I badly wanted to see him return and takeover at RG and as a team captain. I wholeheartedly believe he’s a 3rd-round talent who simply lacked for the reps to show it. I’d bet on him to make a 53-man roster this fall.
Mcgregor too. I’m a little surprised quite frankly.
I wish they’d give you the option to re-enter college if you didn’t get drafted(as long as a player has eligibility of course).
I'm not. McGregor was a part-time starter for one year so had little tape. Didn't work out at the NFL Combine. Other schools have players too.
BM was rotational because Michigan had an incredible defense with several DE. He was excellent vs Bama a team full of draftable lineman.
I'm definitely supervised by BM even if you arent
Most draft rankings have 4-5 other EDGE/DE players ranked above McGregor that went undrafted. It's possible McGregor still goes undrafted even if the Draft went another round.
McGregor should have came back and he could have played alot more and improved his draft stock. He is still worth a look unfortunately his injuries derailed his career earlier.
McGregor is a tough nut to crack. PFF wasn’t much of a fan even though it always felt like he was making plays. Probably has a Jekyl and Hyde deal with him and we just miss it viewing him through our Maize and Blue lens.

You ARE supervised by BM.

Who does #2 work for?????
Feel for these guys, who could've made more money and improved their draft stock by playing out their eligibility.
agree
The thing with McGregor is, he's probably playing 50% of the reps at best next year. Stewart and Moore starting over him, so he may have felt that this year was his best shot to get drafted with how he ended the season.
That would have been plenty snaps. You're talking about 300-400 snaps, and he is a badass so would have done some significant good in all that time.
I wonder if anyone will challenge that? Why should they lose eligibility for declaring to be draft eligible? Does that have to do with “amateur status”? Whose stupid ass rule is that anyway?
Disclaimer: I’m a little high, now I’m headed over to Google to search these things.
I gotta disagree and say McGregor.
Gotta question Jones maturity, and why he wouldn't return as the starting RT and likely play into a 5th Rd pick in 2025.
"Gotta question Jones maturity, "
No, you don't.
McGregor split time with Stewart, Moore, and Harrell. I don't think he had the reps to show how good he is either. He really looked good down the stretch against the best competition they faced.
I hope Detroit signs him.
Signed with the Jets as a UDFA. Best of luck to Braiden!

Agreed. We didn’t quite get the record for number drafted, but does anyone know what the record is for the number of rookies making a roster from a single school? That’s not as flashy as the numbered drafted, but probably more impressive and more important. We might have a shot at that.
I'm surprised McGregor didn't get drafted; he seems like a guy who has the tools to be a contributor in the NFL. Same with Jones. I'm sure they'll land somewhere but a bit of a surprise.
McGregor and and Jones both had significant upside and more eligibility, so I'm surprised that they would go pro if they hadn't been pretty much told they would get drafted. This is too bad for them

I have a sneaking suspicion that if you add up all of the players who are “pretty much told they would get drafted” in a ~250 person draft, you’d get about 400.

He’ll end up starting at guard for Harbaugh in the next 3 years.
Fuckin Braiden and Trente could be crushing it at Michigan one more year and getting drafted next
Boggles the mind

If your mind is ‘boggled’, it has nothing to do with ‘fuckin Braiden and Trente’. You are demonstrating you never went to Michigan. You do not understand anything about the sacrifices college players make for schools to put a great entertainment product on TV. Even with NIL, the continued demands on their bodies and the risk of serious injury (see, e.g., Zinter) forces players to pursue NFL jobs whether they have eligibility left or not.

And both were here 4 years. Couldn't blame them even though selfish me wanted more of them.

Sometimes people are just ready to be done with one phase of their life and move onto the next. The draft is just the beginning, I think many of these UFA’s will make rosters and have good careers.
Braiden McGregor, Drake Nugent, Josh Wallace, Karsen Barnhart and Trente Jones. Going off the CBS Sports draft tracker.
Josh Wallace, Karsen Barnhardt, Braiden McGregor, Trente Jones, and our placekicker Turner will all almost certainly get UDFA contracts.
(edit: I forgot about Cam Goode and Drake Nugent)
That’s what I call a championship haul!
Congrats to those drafted and hope the undrafted find good homes.
What a draft. In comparison, the sore losers down South who hate Michigan more than they love their own children could only get 4 out of 9 drafted.

The bad news is that they are loaded for next year.
Their diapers will loaded after The Game...again.
If by diapers you mean coolers, I agree.
