Why David Cone will be part of history (Rudy?!?..)

Since Threet has confirmed the rumors of him transfering, it leaves us Forcier, Sheridan and Cone up until the freshmen players get here. Sheridan isn't the best QB, but he has a little speed on him. Cone on the other hand will go down in history as the last True pocket passer at the University of Michigan. Can we have a moment? Edit: Can we make David Cone the Rudy of Michigan? Having everyone go into RR office and say they want Cone to play in there spot, for 1 play.

If I'm RichRod, I'm making David Cone Tate's personal qb coach. The Coner should stick with him 24-7. Hopefully, this will let Tate get caught up to speed very fast since the actual coaches aren't allowed to be at practice yet.

Good call. I forgot that being a hand signaler as well as a de-facto personal coach is waaaaay too much for one player to handle. How is the Coner ever going to find time to pursue his rap career? Maybe Sheridan can be Tate's QB professor and the Coner can be his GSI.

Cone has seen it all, does anyone have connections to coaching staff? To see if Cone can start vs WMU just for shits n giggles? Bc we know were going to be 52-0 when Tate plays for us.

We will give it to Henne because he was the last pro-style quarterback at Michigan with remote success. Frankly, Sheridan is not very good and Cone never played. Henne deserves some credit for four bowl games and a great career, the best statistically out of all Michigan QBs. I don't even want to hear Ryan Mallett, Cone, Sheridan or Steve "Dual"(?) Threet mentioned.
