This upcoming week - B1G Odds

It's a crazy year but yep it makes sense...except OSU is going to put up 70 on Rutger. That 38 might not be enough.
November 1st, 2020 at 7:50 PM ^
I really like Sparty getting 7 at 0-2 Iowa....unless they treat the football like a hot potato again now that their Super Bowl is over.
November 1st, 2020 at 9:13 PM ^
I thought that OSU was going to put up 70 on last year's Rutger's team and they won 56-21 and didn't cover. Will be interesting this year to see how Greg Schiano factors into this game. Will he be able to keep it closer knowing a lot of the OSU system? And if not - will Ryan Day decide not to run the score up on him?

i remember a bunch of talk of Michigan putting up 70 on Sharty, around this time last week....
that didn't work so well....

I’d take Indiana in a heart beat. I don’t see anyway we stop that offense from scoring 30 and I don’t see anyway we score 30. I will still be rooting for Michigan I could never root against them. But if they do lose it makes harbaughs firing almost guaranteed with games still against Wisconsin penn state and Ohio state
November 1st, 2020 at 7:12 PM ^
I'll take the 3.5 points with Indiana - but I think we still win in a close one.
November 1st, 2020 at 7:18 PM ^
I like Michigan quite a bit at 3.5. I think they'll be able to run on IU and that suits Milton's strengths. I think the defense will play better.
November 1st, 2020 at 7:31 PM ^
I was thinking the strength of their defense was in the middle. That is precisely where we like to run apparently.
November 2nd, 2020 at 9:51 AM ^
Yeah, I think the MSU game is going to be a wakeup call for M playing lesser competition. I still think they'll get exposed by the better teams on their schedule, but Don Brown isn't walking in without any zone plays or whatever the F that was.

Everything seems right for the most part...that Maryland spread against Penn State seems high.
November 1st, 2020 at 7:30 PM ^
Really high spread in that game.
At PSU where there is no home field advantage.
After a disappointing loss for PSU.
And Taulia looked almost unstoppable against Minnesota last week. (But so did we the week before).
November 1st, 2020 at 7:34 PM ^
I’ll tell you what, Michigan better look out for Penix. He runs hard and is tough to sack. He’s slippery, you need to get two hands on him or he’ll slip through your grasp, and is a load to bring down.
/Sorry this is all I have left in a shitty year
November 1st, 2020 at 7:51 PM ^
Odds that I will block out the prime daylight part of my Saturday after watching that shit show last week: slim to none.
November 1st, 2020 at 7:51 PM ^
MSU gave the blueprint for owning us. Throw and throw a lot and dare our offense to throw deep. Penix should chuck it up all game long.
November 1st, 2020 at 7:57 PM ^
And IU’s receivers and tight ends are better than Sparty’s. So yes ... gonna be a long day.
November 1st, 2020 at 8:11 PM ^
And now they don't need to worry about a pass rush.
November 1st, 2020 at 11:33 PM ^
Don't worry, we will probably find a pass rush and win by the skin of our teeth in overtime. It's how every Michigan game in Bloomington goes.
November 1st, 2020 at 8:31 PM ^
Hopefully it doesn’t rain next weekend so I can rake the leaves
November 1st, 2020 at 8:35 PM ^
Pretty much.
IND +3.5 vs MICH
MARY +24.5 @ PSU
RUTG +37.5 @ OSU
MSU +7 @ IOWA
NEB +4 @ NWSTN
ILL +7.5 vs MINN. (This one depends on if MN has anybody back, lineman, kicker, ILL has many people out). I wouldn't place a bet here.
PURD +7.5 @ WISC
November 1st, 2020 at 8:53 PM ^
With one glaring exception.
November 1st, 2020 at 9:07 PM ^
The betting line is irrelevant. There is way too much Michigan heart-felt money skewing the line. At home with their 2020 record, IU should be a 6 point favorite.
November 1st, 2020 at 9:15 PM ^
Mich -3.5
Maryland +24.5
Rutgers +37.5
Iowa -7
Nebraska +4
Minn -7.5
wisconsin -7.5
will go at least 4-3 and get you a profit
November 1st, 2020 at 9:16 PM ^
It's gonna be hilarious to see the takes here when Michigan smokes Indiana and MSU gets steamrolled by Iowa.
November 1st, 2020 at 9:24 PM ^
Hope you are right but we ain't smoking IU as our defense is mediocre.
November 1st, 2020 at 9:37 PM ^
Hence my plays. Good call
November 1st, 2020 at 9:55 PM ^
This wouldn’t be surprising at all because Harbaugh basically has turned us into the lions - lose every meaningful game, win against the bad teams and just give you enough hope before ripping out your heart.
November 1st, 2020 at 11:26 PM ^
The universe would sort of be righted if this happened. I will probably take Michigan -3.5 which is in stark contrast to what I posted below. I often lay down bets with my heart, which is why I don't make shit for money betting on sports. Case in point this past weekend. I made five bets -- Coastal Carolina -4, WVU -5.5, OSU -12 and Michigan -24 and again at -22. I won three of the five which is not great but not bad either. But guess which team I bet the most on? Yeah....
November 2nd, 2020 at 2:19 PM ^
Man I hope you are right. A win @ IU will at least smear the shitstain that is the MSU game, in the other direction of our collective drawers as we stride away from that debacle. Back-to-back losses and I guess we'll all see each other next year.
November 1st, 2020 at 9:19 PM ^
i'd take IU and the 3 1/2 pts all day long. i'd never actually 'bet' against our team, but right now it has to be a major forest fire inside schembechler hall. staying on task after yesterday is going to be challenging, and i can only imagine the coaches meetings (and texts) in the interim.
i'd take the terps and the points. i'd probably take sparty and the points. i can tell you the one not to take is illinois - peters is out and their #2 QB, matt robinson did a number on his ankle in the first series v. wisconsin while going 3/4 and looking good (remember he brought them back v. michigan last year). hoping he gets better very quickly but from what i've read the illini will be down to their 3rd string QB who threw 2 pics and fumbled a third time for a scoop and score when he came in for robinson.

Odds of gray starting?
November 1st, 2020 at 11:22 PM ^
I would absolutely not take MSU +7 at Iowa. They will be spent from partying all week. And I would take Minnesota -7.5 at Illinois. In fact, I would take Minny -14 at Illinois. I think this is the week Minnesota gets back on track.
Pains me to say that IU +3.5 is probably the most solid bet on this sheet.
