This upcoming week - B1G Odds

Submitted by UESWolverine on November 1st, 2020 at 7:00 PM

If I was a betting man, I'd be inclined to take the points in every B1G game this upcoming weekend. Especially all the road dogs.

IND +3.5 vs MICH

MARY +24.5 @ PSU

RUTG +37.5 @ OSU

MSU +7 @ IOWA

NEB +4 @ NWSTN

ILL +7.5 vs MINN

PURD +7.5 @ WISC

I thought that OSU was going to put up 70 on last year's Rutger's team and they won 56-21 and didn't cover. Will be interesting this year to see how Greg Schiano factors into this game. Will he be able to keep it closer knowing a lot of the OSU system? And if not - will Ryan Day decide not to run the score up on him?

I’d take Indiana in a heart beat. I don’t see anyway we stop that offense from scoring 30 and I don’t see anyway we score 30. I will still be rooting for Michigan I could never root against them. But if they do lose it makes harbaughs firing almost guaranteed with games still against Wisconsin penn state and Ohio state

I’ll tell you what, Michigan better look out for Penix. He runs hard and is tough to sack. He’s slippery, you need to get two hands on him or he’ll slip through your grasp, and is a load to bring down.

/Sorry this is all I have left in a shitty year

Pretty much.

IND +3.5 vs MICH

MARY +24.5 @ PSU

RUTG +37.5 @ OSU

MSU +7 @ IOWA

NEB +4 @ NWSTN

ILL +7.5 vs MINN. (This one depends on if MN has anybody back, lineman, kicker, ILL has many people out). I wouldn't place a bet here.

PURD +7.5 @ WISC

The betting line is irrelevant.  There is way too much Michigan heart-felt money skewing the line.  At home with their 2020 record, IU should be a 6 point favorite.

Rutgers +37.5

Iowa -7

The universe would sort of be righted if this happened.  I will probably take Michigan -3.5 which is in stark contrast to what I posted below.  I often lay down bets with my heart, which is why I don't make shit for money betting on sports.  Case in point this past weekend.  I made five bets -- Coastal Carolina -4, WVU -5.5, OSU -12 and Michigan -24 and again at -22.  I won three of the five which is not great but not bad either.  But guess which team I bet the most on?  Yeah....

i'd take IU and the 3 1/2 pts all day long.  i'd never actually 'bet' against our team, but right now it has to be a major forest fire inside schembechler hall.  staying on task after yesterday is going to be challenging, and i can only imagine the coaches meetings (and texts) in the interim.

i'd take the terps and the points.  i'd probably take sparty and the points.  i can tell you the one not to take is illinois - peters is out and their #2 QB, matt robinson did a number on his ankle in the first series v. wisconsin while going 3/4 and looking good (remember he brought them back v. michigan last year).  hoping he gets better very quickly but from what i've read the illini will be down to their 3rd string QB who threw 2 pics and fumbled a third time for a scoop and score when he came in for robinson.

I would absolutely not take MSU +7 at Iowa.  They will be spent from partying all week.  And I would take Minnesota -7.5 at Illinois.  In fact, I would take Minny -14 at Illinois.  I think this is the week Minnesota gets back on track.

Pains me to say that IU +3.5 is probably the most solid bet on this sheet.
