UM radio game replays?
Does anyone know where one can find replays of the radio broadcasts of UM games? With all this nostalgia on the board, I specifically would like to hear the full broadcast of last year's win over osu (and Jim & Dan's final call)... and maybe a few others as well.

Probably on you tube somewhere. There was a clip of the OSU radio broadcast of this year's game. The OSU play-by-play man may be the best in the business...and he carried his spectacular call straight through the bias of the color man like I have never heard it done before-completely ignored him. It was stunningly good.

This is spot on. I watched that video too and was impressed by the play by play guy, but not by the drunk fan sitting next to him in the booth.

The play by play guy is Paul Keels. He’s been around forever. A real professional. Called Pistons games for a short while quite a long time ago.
The color guy is Jim Lachey. His playing background is very similar to Jansen or Dierdorf. Had a ten year All Pro career as one of the Hogs on that Washington team who used to have a name other than Commanders.
Just realized that the last three Michigan color guys - Jansen, Dierdorf and Brandstatter - were offensive lineman. Same with the last two Lions guys (Lomas Brown and Brandy) and Sparty Jason Strayhorn.

Offensive linemen are regarded, like catchers in baseball, as the brains of the outfit. Maybe they interview well?

Which is the very opposite of what happened when we were kids on the sandlot. The last guy picked was always the fat guy, and he had to catch. Same with Little League, the fat kid was always the catcher because he couldn't move. Same with football - always the slow, fat guys playing on the lines.
My, how they've turned the tables in old age...

If you download “The Varsity” app, you can search for Michigan, then on the Michigan page search Ohio State. You’ll have to scroll down a year but I’m listening to it right now with a smile on my face.
It’s the entire 9 hour broadcast so you’ll have to FF. Unless you want to relish the whole thing… Cheers!

So, I don't think I have exactly what you're looking for... but here's something cool that will maybe get you some of what you want.
This year, the athletic department started broadcasting the Karsch/Jansen booth for home games live on YouTube. They still have the VODs up for every home game. As an aside, it's how I would sync up my in home audio when I was done listening to RG3 "having fun" or Sean McDonough mailing in another broadcast. (it was only a one or two second delay off the TV broadcast usually, so a quick pause and release on the kick would sync it up perfectly)

Are you looking for the radio replay with video? If not, I know both those games are available on Jon Jansen’s Mgoblue podcast. You would have to go through the archives.

Prepare your ears for some voice cracking and raspiness - such an odd choice for the voice of Michigan football.
