Tate's #1 priority should be getting a good college degree.  Not sure about SJSU's academics but that should be his top priority.  I think its safe to say that he's not going to make a living playing football (definitely no offense intended!).

dad still the coach there? If he is, then it could be could for Tate. I remember the beyond the glory for Jeff Garica that it said when he went to play for his dad at San Jose St., his dad taylored the entire offence around his skill set to help him get noticed by scouts and get him drafted.

He might want to consider going to Montana again, considering Nate Montana got picked up for DUI last night.

MISSOULA - University of Montana quarterback Nathaniel Joseph Montana has been arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol.

Missoula radio station KGVO-AM reports that Montana was arrested shortly before 4 a.m. Friday morning. He was released from jail after posting $685 bond.

Montana is the son of Hall of Fame quarterback Joe Montana. Montana in February transferred from Notre Dame to the University of Montana where he is vying for the starting quarterback spot

Why is it always portrayed as . . . Tate is thinking about , Tate is considering , Tate is picking.

Does anybody really Want Him ?

What is the longest he has ever remained at the same academic institution in the last 6 years ?

Its not about football its about Tate considering, thinking about, wondering if he should go to class, do his homework, pass his tests, finish a semester.

But doesn't he have a pattern of  switching schools as a coping mechanism.

He could have played sooner . . . anywhere. . .  by keeping his credits intact.

So why is it always about Tate being 'Courted' rather than Tate complying with requirements ?

SJSU is a pretty bad program and would be willing to overlook problems other schools might be leery of. Personally I think he should try Nevada. He's a decent fit for the pistol and Nevada would welcome a talented QB. Chris Ault has been in business a long time and knows how to change things up to suit the talent on hand.

It's sorta home, but not close enough that his parents can be in his business at the drop of a hat.  It's small enough that he can be the "big fish in a small pond.'  The competition is a step slower and a few inches less tall than at BCS schools.  I hope he does well there.  Someone in the family has to be a star somewhere to better leverage the family business; Tate is their last chance.
