... should help Tenn.

I doubt it. Once a tire fire is started you just have to let it burn out.

He'll say on as DC next year when Dooley is fired and replaced by Kirby Smart.

This cannot hurt our chances in Dallas.

Isn't his son a freshman lb? How could he leave lol.

I think...maybe...hell I don't know

That's considered base treason in Alabama. You really don't see that too often, and won't see it a lot going forward.
January 13th, 2012 at 1:43 PM ^
Bama sure has a lot of traitors. Dave Hart the AD is from Bama, as is the current LB coach Lance Thompson.
January 13th, 2012 at 12:03 PM ^
Can't hurt our chances next year, but it won't change much anyway. Alabama's D will still be ridiculous w/o him, Hightower and Kirkpatrick.
January 13th, 2012 at 12:12 PM ^
If we consider the number of players and coaches that have left Alabama in the past 24 hours, and then extrapolate that trend to continue over the reminder of the offseason, I like our chances.

I see no holes in this logic. I'm going to try to place my bets now...

lol wish I had enough points to upvote.
I didn't see one in the OP do here's a link. Maybe UT's D won't be horrible next season!

knoxville is a shithole why would anyone want to coach there?

Seriously?
First off, the guy was in Tuscaloosa, Alabama. It's not like that's fighting for the top city in America.

Second, Knoxville is a great small city and the people love football down here. People avoid planning events on football Saturdays because they know Knoxville shuts down on game days. .

Nothing wrong with Knoxville
January 13th, 2012 at 1:24 PM ^
Johnny Knoxville however is a total douche bag.
January 13th, 2012 at 3:59 PM ^
is worth a stop down there if you like ribs. Plus, the hotties on campus in umbros and tees (March - Mid November) isn't bad either. Beware the tornados however.
January 13th, 2012 at 1:34 PM ^
Tuscaloosa for four years - nothing special as a city, but it is a great college town.
Knoxville for four years - infinity times better of a city than tuscaloosa, central to the beach and mountains, atlanta, and nashville, charlotte and charleston. I had a great time living there and the campus is beautiful, except for the big effing orange.
Knoxville was really nice.
January 13th, 2012 at 2:03 PM ^
That is great to hear. My wife may go to grad school at UT. From my research Knoxville looks ok.
January 13th, 2012 at 11:16 PM ^
Clearly you've never been to K-town. Douche.
January 13th, 2012 at 12:39 PM ^
Tennessee will be changing from a 4-3 to a 3-4. Probably not the best idea to change defenses while the coach is on the hot seat.
I know the Obrien ship has sailed but what does this mean for him? Does he fit in a 3-4? (Just curious about a local kid's future)
January 13th, 2012 at 1:33 PM ^
Smart move for Sunseri as there will likely be a head coaching vacancy there, possibly as soon as next season so it makes sense for him to position himself for that now.
January 13th, 2012 at 1:57 PM ^
Hope he got a contract because I don't think Dooley makes it to 2013.
January 14th, 2012 at 12:51 AM ^
as a ut fan I hope this works for my boys down south next year. easy schedule and returning talent makes for a make or break year for coach dooley.
