The thing A&M did to bone themselves was calling plays that didn't bleed clock, and snapping the ball with 20+ seconds on the play clock even when they did. Someone on /cfb did the math and if they literally took a knee every down and punted, they would have left UCLA with less time of possession than they did. A single first down would have likely reduced UCLA's TOP to the point a comeback would not have been possible.

I would not be looking at Jed Fisch. I would look at Kevin Sumlin. That is the worst coaching and game managemant I have ever seen. Also mond is another running back and should not have even bothered throwing the ball. Anyways who cares Pep Hamilton> Jed Fisch all day.

also killed A&M.  3 for 17 may be the worst performance I have ever saw.  Oops, forgot about Russell Bellomy taking over for Denard at Nebraska.

A&M seemed to play a prevent and once UCLA got rolling it was over.  I still don't believe the winning catch was actually a catch.  He definitely didn't have control of the ball before his foot went out of bounds.

They ran 60 times for 390 yards. Were 9 for 30 passing for less than 100 yards plus some sacks. They got the lead by running the ball with just a few passes thrown in and were up 38-10 at the half.

Second half they came out with a new offensive gameplan. Extend the game by switching to a passing attack. They went from a 4 to 1 split to 50-50 with most of the runs by the QB. They never went away from it either. You really have to wonder what was going on. Unless he turns things around soon, I can't see how Sumlin lasts to the end of the season.

18 yard TD pass Rosen threw off his back foot (displayed under section 5 of the article) looks like a prayer that happened to be answered,  and is as fortunate a play as you will ever see. Stil, great props to Rosen and UCLA for rallying to score to 5 touchdowns in the 4th quarter to pull it  a miraculous comeback.

Hats off to Fisch, or as Coach would say: good shit Jedd. We also gotta give props to Sumlin for making this incredible comeback possible, going away from the run to the hurry up pass attack for the entire second half when all you had to do was run the clock out. Stupid like a fox.

Harbaugh's teams and coaches all do a GREAT job of making adjustments at halftime (except Durkin/OSU). It's night and day compared to the Hoke era of THIS IS MICHIGAN, MANBALL, WE WILL NOT CHANGE FOR ANYONE!!!

He seemed to work really well with Coach Harbaugh.

I hope he gets that head coaching job he's aiming for.

Nevertheless, Coach Hamilton seems to be a step up.

When I look at the resume's of both Fisch and Pep, I don't see the 'clear, massive upgrade'.  Yes, I do think Pep is an upgrade, but I don't think its of the magnitude that many here are saying.  Jedd was OC of Jacksonville, and Pep was OC/Assist HC in Cleveland.  Two dumpster fires...  I think they're both top notch, but believe that Pep better fits the type of passing game Harbaugh wants with so many weapons to play with.

Am I missing something?

I give Rosen credit where credit is due, but that comeback was at least 75-80% on A&M's epic, all-time collapse.

Sumlin abandoned what was working, and the defense completely what the bed on several occasions. Sunday night was a microcosm of Sumlin in his time at A&M. Rushing out to a fast start and then falling apart in the second half.
