OT: Kamala, the Ugandan giant, has passed away at 70
Sad news for me and many of my fellow 80s wrestling fans.

He was the only one other than Hogan to body slam the Giant, all 600 lbs of him.

He lived longer then many of his contemporaries, but a full life I don't know about that he ended up having both his legs amputated due to complications of high blood pressure and diabetes in 2011

I remember being terrified of him as a little kid. He was one of the best characters to come out of wrestling in the 80's!

A good wrestler but one of the most racist characters you'll ever see in mainstream wrestling, which is saying something. He was still a really good heel and his "turn" to being a face was still pretty memorable.

I vaguely remember that he was the “Ugandan Headhunter” before he was the Ugandan Giant. But was he the *most* racially insensitive character? It’s a pretty long list!
