OT - Dempsey scores vs. Liverpool

Submitted by FGB on
Caution: soccer-related content on a CFB saturday Clint Dempsey scored against Liverpool today, and has generally looked pretty good for Fulham, starting almost every game. If there's anything positive to come out of Davies' injury, it may be that shifting Dempsey up top where he's more comfortable might make better use of his skills and help maximize his impact. It's also remarkable how much more active he is for Fulham than the recent MNT games. I would assume he will put in the same effort for country as he does for club once the WC rolls around. One other interesting note. From the Guardian: "Clint Dempsey has had more off-target efforts on goal (22) than any other player in the division." So he's got that going for him....which is nice. Jozy also got on the field as a sub a week after his twitter incident, so he's not totally in the doghouse at Hull.

Nice win for Fulham. But a disappointing effort from the Reds if you ask me. After the Torres goal I thought the momentum from last week's win over Man U would have carried my boys to the W. Not so. I travel to London for business all the time. Craven Cottage is on my list of places to see a soccer match.

is just so eratic this year. They've thrown away their Man U win already. Don't look good enough to progress in the Champions league either.......and to be honest don't look like one of the top 4 in England this year. They have a nice string of games they can win through about Christmas, Arsenal in two weeks becomes the key......but right now this team is shit. Could be a really disappointing season if they don't pick things up.
