Some people think yards per play is the most important stat. Those people should be happy with Nussmeier's two Bama offenses: #5 in the country both years (6.95ypp in 2012, 7.15 in 2013). We were #35 last year (6.07) and #76 this year (5.44).
In their three close games (1-2 record) their defense allowed 42, 34, and 45 points, as opposed to the 6.0 ppg they allowed in the other 10 games.
