New Baumgardner article - good quotes from Butt and Lewis
Some highlights:
"Nobody actually thought it would come this quickly," junior corner Jourdan Lewis admits. "But we just do the process that (Harbaugh) teaches us. [...] He's a football genius."
"He makes me love football more than I ever thought possible," Butt says. "It makes my passion grow for the sport. He just rubs off on everyone else around him."
"I think I'm addicted to winning," Butt says with a laugh. "We just want to do whatever it takes to get another one."
Sounds like he's really rubbing these guys the wrong way.

Two points here:
1. People like to win. You can be tough and quirky and demanding if it leads to results. Not surprising that people buy in when there is such clear, tangible success
2. This flies in the face of the whole 49ers narrative of being 'tough to work with' because it was exactly that, a narrative. Harbaugh didn't seem to have a ton of issues at San Diego or Stanford, and I am sure either would love to have him back. Maybe York is the problem, but that's none of my business
Exciting quotes though. Amazing the turnaround in culture and results that has been established in under 12 months.

remember that. And anything we can do to completely solidify that from here on out we should do.

Look at the 49ers...it's Harbaugh's fault. He ruined them.
Not a good NFL coach.

led to his arrival in Ann Arbor. Consider the sourcing and the results since. We know what we got and how everyone else is jealous.
People wonder publicly online is Michigan really that good. It must be illusory. They don't have enought talent as the Buckeyes and they aren't as tough as Michigan State. And they haven't faced a veteran quarterback like the Spartans got. Wait till they come against that angry defensive front of MSU. They'll wilt.
All I have to say is: believe what you want. We know what we got. And soon, you will too.
No high anxiety. Just performance. We'll defend them, we'll block, we'll tackle them and we'll beat them. And when it's over, you can think again about what is happening. Because it IS HAPPENING. And we knew it would turn out this way.

"Dude, we got over the mountain. Stop. Let go."
- Alex Boone, Ohio State graduate and starting guard for the 1-4 San Francisco 49ers, on Jim Harbaugh

but not everyone knows how to do it or has the will to put that much effort into it. Coach Harbaugh provides both the knowledge and the will and that's what makes him special.

FUCK Sparty Baumgardner. He is a snake and is rooting for us to lose to his alma mater this weekend. He needs to be boycotted like Rosenberg/Freep.

Baumgardner is one of the better UM beat writers, in my opinion.

Isn't it awesome that an MSU grad is forced to watch more Michigan football than the average Michigan fan? On top of that, our team is out for blood this year and is looking pretty unstoppable at this point. Baumgardner is watching his beloved undfeated MSU team about to be smashed under the tires of the Harbaugh regime.

of writing anything subjectively negative about the team let alone against the program. The man graduated from State, fine, but at least he graduated; higher education is something we all want from our kids, right? I have read nothing from Baumgardner that suggests your assertions are valid, if you have something please link.

Go read his 12-part series on the Brendan Gibbons expulsion in which he was basically calling on Hoke to be fired for not calling Gibbons a rapist even though: (a) the police refused to press charges, and (b) Hoke was prohibited from discussing the matter with reporters per university policy.
