I can only assume it's because BTN has only been on the air since 2007. They can replay all the same BTN stuff as much as they want. A lot of the games you are talking about were likely on ESPN or ABC. They probably don't want to have to pay up to be able to air those games.

If the game is broadcast on ESPN then the replay is available on ESPN 3 online about 1-2 hours after completion.
