Michigan Hockey Alums With a Strong Start
Checking the leaderboard at NHL.com after the first handful of games, one finds a (not too meaningful) cool thing: multiple familiar names.
Pacioretty accounts for a lot of the pop, in the top 4 for goals, points, and +/- , but Cammalleri, and Larkin both put in good showings. As does Al Montoya for both his save % and GAA.
Go Blue.

Hallelujah! Isn't Dylan Larkin a blessing to the Red Wings?
It is going to be a joy to watch his career unfold right in front of us in Detroit; as much as I was hoping he'd stay at Michigan longer, I'm happy that he's with his hometown team.
No doubt he's already proving Jeff Blashill correct in keeping him in Detroit rather than in the minors. Pretty amazing for a 19- year old, isn't he??! He's going to be an integral part of the Wings for a long time!

it just wasn't in the nhl....
a little like that movie with jim belushi, mr. destiny, it all worked out over time. the disappointment of hardly getting to play for michigan has long faded and the years have rolled on.
