The SID poll is completely worthless now that it doesn't factor into a BCS ranking.

Not that the AP poll means anything, either.

To answer your question, Mr. Putingrad, we get paid to coach our own teams, and can lose our million dollar jobs quite easily. As such, we don't give a rat's ass about completing this poll with any real research or thought. In fact, I happen to know that Steve Spurrier has a pet gibbon that he lets complete it each week using his own feces as a writing tool.

This team is emulating Harbaugh's approach to football. Harbaugh does not care about rankings, only winning the next game. Therefore the players are focused on Maryland. Hoke's teams were (mostly) great at home but awful on the road. I'm sure the players haven't forgotten that.

Why coaches even have a poll. If you still rank Oregon, you don't deserve to do a poll.

I think I know why. Coaches hate Mormons.

I wish they would have ranked all the 25 teams #1.

Getting no love - I like it. Let's keep under the radar as long as possible.

In reality, our only loss is to the #12 team by one TD away (and we spotted them 3 picks).

I think we could beat most of the 17-24 teams at home or neutral site.

Perhaps it was as someone said that the Oregon game - being a late one - didn't register with a few voters, but having watched it, it would be hard to say that they still should retain a position in this poll right now. On the other hand, BYU did get some "style points" - if you want to call them that - from one voters, it seems.

This is the poll that I never quite get, the Coaches Poll.

Good. We'll earn our recognition when it's time. Until then, stay hungry. I didn't think we'd be ranked until the MSU game, this performance gives us a shot at being ranked next week if some teams fall out. Regardless, it doesn't really matter. Rankings won't affect whether we beat Maryland, Nwestern or Staee

So what? Just keep getting better each week. If Michigan keeps taking care of business, continuing next week in Maryland, the rankings will eventually reflect that.

Besides, keep giving the team more reasons to have to go out and prove itself.

Self-fulfilling and circular reasoning much? Oregon should still be ranked as a two-loss team because one of their losses was to an "elite" MSU team...whose sole "elite" win on their resume is...Oregon?
