MBB: 2020 Recruit Greg Brown commits to Texas
Per the Twitters and Instagram, 2020 basketball recruit Greg Brown has (unsurprisingly) committed to Texas.
Michigan was in his top 5.

No surprise. Stinks to miss though. We need a guard. Hopefully we can find a transfer before school year starts.
I was looking at Bart Torvik's projections and his model has them third (!!!) in the country. Shaka is gonna have to step up is coaching considerably.
Meh. That was essentially a foregone conclusion.
Really neat how that 100% crystal ball thing works for these other teams.
Whew, we dodged a bullet by not coming in 2nd this time, amirite, did I do that right?
Double post, I'll just say
Go Blue!
I meant to include in the OP that the only surprising/interesting thing is that he did not go the G-League route. There were rumors that he was offered $250k+ to go to the G-League.
Probably got a pretty good payment at Texas.
Worked well for Mo Bamba...
Shaka Smart is the most overrated coach this decade by a mile. 2 First Round and outs and an NIT championship, while Rick Barnes has done better since leaving and going to Tennessee
I don't have any reason to think he's a bad guy, but I do not understand the allure of Smart. His Final Four now looks like an aberration, and his players don't seem to develop much. In this case, though, I can see why Brown would choose UT regardless of its coach.
Sam said that Shaka and Greg have a great relationship and that was a huge factor. And he’s only going to be there one year
Hard to be so unsuccessful in high level basketball when you have the ability to pull in 5 stars every other year
Kudos to Shaka Smart for doing things HIS way
hard to overcome a 5 year lead and both parents and an Uncle that are Texas alums... not to mention being from Austin...
tough break... Looking for Juwan's recruiting to continue to tick up over the years.
Michigan has the best class in the B1G and 8th (?) nationally?
Not bad for a year on the job with no post season tournament exposure...

Have to wonder if Isaiah Todd holding that spot for 6 months influenced his decision at all. We could have spent more time on Brown.
