Looking for a recording of the full lyrics to 'The Victors'
Not sure if this exists, but I'm trying to find a recording with 'Hail to the Victors' sung completely through. All the recordings I've ever heard have instrumentals only for the first part ("Now for a cheer they are here, triumphant! ...") and the lyrics are only sung when the trio starts.
I figured that if it does exist, someone here will know about it, and be able to point me in the right direction.
Thanks WD :)
Here is UM Glee Club singing Varsity and The Victors. The latter starts at 1:40.

AND IT'S CALLED "THE VICTORS"
Thanks Yo_Blue!
Thnaks, guys. FWIW, I played this just now.and although it's a glee club and not a 120 piece marching band it sure got my dogs hyped AF.
(Either that or they wanted to go out for potties)
Since this is semi-resolved, wanted to thread jack slightly and see if anyone else has heard about this - an alternate verse of the victors:
Hail! To our Alma Mater!
Hail! To dear old Ann Arbor!
Hail! Hail! To Michigan, the Athens of the West!
If I had to guess, Michigan used this around the time they left the Western Conference (now the Big Ten) to go it independent for a bit, and needed to swap out the “Champions of the West” line for something more relevant.
Has anyone else heard of this/know the backstory?
I was not aware of these lyrics before but it’s true that we were sometimes called the “Athens of the West” - which is why MSU adopted the nickname “Spartans” incidentally, as Sparta was the rival of Athens in ancient times.
Seems like this should be OT.

I miss the old days. I listened to that YouTube version of the Glee Club and then the entire Marching Band doing their lead in before a game. That was always my favorite moment of going to a game. Not having season tickets anymore has robbed me of those moments. Watching on TV is so sterile.
I was in glee club. Singing at tailgates was awesome.
No, but I could sing it for you if you like
It’s kind of hard to believe that anyone that calls him/herself a Wolverine wouldn’t know that the glee club has been performing this it its entirely for , oh, maybe a hundred years or so...
