He didn't rule it out from happening this weekend, so it's still possible. He's been wavering on it for awhile now so I'm not positive when it will come.
TomVH: I know Bolden has been consider a big michigan lean - do you think he is wavering more on when to announce or what school to select?
Thanks!
Yes please.
If we get Bolden does that mean that we have no chance with James Ross? 4 linebackers seems like way more than we need.
From what I have read 4 LBs is not out of the question - since these guys are all 4 star and seem to be quality players we should welcome all 4 if they want to put on the winged helmet
I believe it was talked about by Tim that it's possible that some of the LB recruits from last year will switch positions so that could also leave us a couple extra spots for quality LBs
That makes sense, I know some people are saying Desmond Morgan would be a good fullback. I say we take any 4* we can get but I'm just concerned with some of our other needs like offensive and defensive line because I know were trying to save a lot of spots for them.
Sorry, I don't have enough points to start a new thread but it looks like Gunner Kiel was on campus all day today......would take much (all) of the sting of not getting Pike if we landed him.....plus, we'd take him away from ND so it's a win-win......
Sorry for the hijack, but I though it was pretty good info.........
depending on what linebacker positions they play. If three out of the four are projected at one position then I think we would have to be choosy on who we really feel like fits the system best. I'm still a little confused on the difference between the three positions even though I read Magnus' explanation of it all.
Are any of them projected to fill out into a DE?
if the shit really hits the fan on tressel, i think ross might be a michigan lean.
I think that Penn State has a better chance at landing him than OSU and us.

I think you take Bolden or Ross and be happy with it. I think Ross is probably better, but I don't think there's enough of a difference to where you turn down Bolden hoping to get Ross since you might be left with neither. A bird in the hand and all that.
We have two very good LBs in this class, and Bolden would make three. When's the last time UM had three 4 star LBs in one class (assuming we don't count the class where Marcus Witherspoon never made it to campus and Taylor Hill left right away)? Sign me up.
EDIT: Answer to my own question! In 2003, we brought in Jim Presley (who?), Crable and Burgess, who were all 4+ stars (Burgess was a 5 star). Crable was listed as a DE and Burgess a safety, but realistically they were all LBs. In fact, Woodley was in that class too and was listed as a LB, but I'd count him as a DE for the same reason the other guys are backers.
Michigan got Cobrani Mixon, Jonas Mouton, and Brandon Graham in 2006, all of whom were 4-stars or higher. Of course Graham ended up at DE...
That's the closest weve come, I think.
I also believe lamar woodley was the top ranked linebacker in the country when he was recruited.

Was Mouton listed as a safety coming out? I seem to have some memory that he was listed as a S but many thought LB would be his ultimate positon (Much like BG with LB and DE).
Yes, he was listed as a safety, but most people realized he would be a LB.
he waits he might not commit to us,if he decides in a month he's BLUE. With 4 LB's in this class, does anybody think that we will switch to a 3-4?
Just committed to Michigan, per a Tom tweet.
Mike Dwyer does a great job covering Cincinnati Area High School football...awesome get for Michigan!
