Jabrill Peppers: an odd situation
Very strange situation unfolding in Cleveland, where Peppers recently finished up his second season as a Brown. Per cleveland.com, his truck was broken into recently, and among the things stolen were rumored to be an unlicensed Glock and an amount of weed.
Apparently, the alleged perp was later found murdered, and the suspect (now in custody) has no connection the former Wolverine. A relatively well-known Cleveland defense attorney was then recorded confirming that police disposed of the weed and asked that the whole situation be kept from the media.
As a Clevelander with many civil service workers in his family tree, I can attest to the fact that members of local pro sports teams often get protected from situations where normal folk might spend a night in jail. (Unable to get the link posted on my mobile, sry).

Gasp! You're saying they cover for football players in Ohio?
February 28th, 2019 at 7:47 PM ^
I think Homicide is typically more than a "night in jail" type of crime.....

I think he meant the weed.

Unless you’re Marvin Harrison or Ray Lewis

Who among us doesn't occasionally have an unlicensed Glock and an amount of weed stolen by a person who ends up murdered?

Ye who have not smoked, cast the first .762 armor piercing rounds.
February 28th, 2019 at 8:42 PM ^
7.62
.762 would be a ridiculously large round.

Wasn't gonna be that nerd, but yeah Jabrill probably doesn't have a custom-yet-unregistered, Glock-made Elephant gun in his truck.
Maybe in his jock

I prefer 88mm

Here's a vintage 88mm

Likely meant the size of an AK or Bravo round.
7.62

Yeah, everyone murders!
Haven't seen him recently.

I had 6 of those this week.
Does anyone have any unlicensed Glocks for sale?
February 28th, 2019 at 9:27 PM ^
I stopped selling those years ago.
Why an unlicensed Glock? Shit half the population is now legal carry it seems. Jabrill still has a little Jersey street in him?
As for the weed that is a non-starter. Most NFL players like the chronic.

There are no licenses for a Glock or any other handgun in Ohio.
February 28th, 2019 at 11:12 PM ^
This. My Glock, as well as all my other firearms, are all "unlicensed" since I live in the free state of AZ, (same as Ohio, last I checked.)
February 28th, 2019 at 11:39 PM ^
I also live in AZ. We have the best gun laws, or lack thereof, in the country.
But possession of any amount of weed in AZ is a felony, right?
Well said, AZ should be the model the rest of the country uses. Ohio is still a duty to retreat state but we are in the last few weeks of the gun owner having the onus of proving self defense vs the prosecutor disproving it.
well, for guns yea.
I guess they could also be the model for weed ... for how NOT to do it.

I think it was pretty well known that he dabbled in the weed while he was in Ann Arbor. Idk about the unregistered gun.
February 28th, 2019 at 7:57 PM ^
False. I went to school in Ann Arbor, and I never ever ever saw or smelled any marijuana.
February 28th, 2019 at 8:14 PM ^
False. Sloan Kettering and Johnny Hopkins were blazin' that shit up every day.
February 28th, 2019 at 8:00 PM ^
I have to believe quite a few players dabble in weed. Not that there’s anything wrong with that...

“Gun registration” isn’t a thing. It would be a huge national political issue if it were. Licenses are sometimes necessary for personal possession, depending upon where one is at the time. There are certain places, like the passenger compartments of cars, that legally owned guns may be in place unwisely and/or illegally, depending upon local laws.
I have no idea what Ohio’s laws are, or what may or may not have been in Jabrill’s car.
Technically, a gun anywhere in a car is considered to be concealed, which you need a permit for. The only time you can legally carry in your car without a CPL is to or from the range, gun store, or gun smithb and it must be properly locked up.
Depends on local laws. In Texas, one's castle extends to their vehicle. One may own a firearm, including a handgun, and have it in their vehicle at all times, with no CHL.
Yup.

Those sound like things you need in Cleveland.
February 28th, 2019 at 7:51 PM ^
if they're doing this for the Cleveland browns. Imagine how the establishment protects The Ohio State Football Program. . . I shutter to think if this were in Powell and Urban Meyer were involved.

Apparently there was not enough there for johnny manziel.

Johnny's a coke guy. We're a bit more blue collar in the 216.

Ohio State living rent free in your head. This post is about a former Michigan player and all you can bring up is Urban lol
no, this post is about an incident in Ohio, regarding the handlers of a high profile Cleveland Brown (who actually happens to be a wolverine) who is asking to see if law enforcement officials if they destroyed evidence to make this situation go away.
You seem to be just another one of the bare-assed chimps who support Ohio State who will enable anything as long as Ohio State wins.
February 28th, 2019 at 7:52 PM ^
I bet he can't wait to get out of that state.
