(not Culvers), what I found out was the only way to make a lot of money is by owning multiple franchise locations. Most, if not all people owning one store/outlet, will not become rich. The exceptions might be high volume/profit margin businesses. Franchise restaurants don't fit that model.
between having his entire backfield tear their ACLs or letting some nameless coach walk
I went to a local Culver's once and never tried again.
At least Iowa beats other B1G teams once in a while.
I've only had it once myself (in Iowa), but I thought it was decent. I'd probably go back.

This sounds like nothing more than a devious way of getting around NCAA rules about feeding recruits and their families.
Over at Black Heart Gold Pants, there was this rather bitter soul:
"Frozen custard sucks."
This was, of course, followed by a defense of frozen custard and a compliment to Culver's brand in particular. A #B1G argument indeed.

I think you need to get out more. I love me some frozen custard, but it gets way better than that.
He'd rather run a Culver's in a suburb of Nashville than recruit for the Hawkeyes

I have family members that are in the process of opening one in Livonia...should be open in another month or so. It is significantly cheaper than the other fast food franchises and they had significantly more say so in the design (interior and exterior). The last time I was in Michigan they were going through all the desgin samples at their house. Pretty cool. I think they will do very well in that location. They do have some tasty items and tend to be a little more dine in oriented than McD's, BK and the others.

How much for a McDowells?
you save by not blowing a bunch of money on sesame seeds for the Big Mic buns.

the whole AIRBHG thing is one big insurance fraud ring. No one really tore their ACLs but they did collect millions in medical insurance money...all to get an unlimited supply of that sweet delicious Culver's.
Putting the Culver's right in Iowa City immediately would be far too suspicious. No, they needed to start their butter burger empire far away from Iowa City (but not so far that the coaches can't make a burger run after away games at Purdue or Indiana). As more running backs 'tear their ACLs' they can expand their empire and slowly move back toward Iowa City with them. Ultimately, they'll demolish the north endzone seats at Kinnick Stadium and put a giant Culver's there so they can have an unlimited supply of that delicious cholesterol.
I'm on to you Kirk

I haven't been to one. One opened in the area a while back and I went online to look at their menu. My arteries clogged up while I was reading the menu.

Reminds me of the end of Stripes when Sgt Hulka retires to open a Hulkaburger franchise....

There's one in Belleville.

There is also one on Jackson Road in Ann Arbor, I believe, as well as one in Taylor, Westland and Livonia. I can't think of any others, but those are locations that I have seen in my travels. I've only heard of another mentioned in passing, but I wouldn't doubt there is one in the Novi area just because of Twelve Oaks and the population in that part of the suburbs - I don't know specifically where though.

a little bit west of Meijer on the other side of Jackson road.

There is one in Jackson, not to be confused with Jackson Road...
I need more popeyes. We have a couple on the other side of the state where I'm from. But the closest one to A2 is a couple of exits away on the side of a gas station.

12 Mile, just east of I-75
But there is a Culvers out here in Clarkston Sashabaw and 1-75 and in Auburn Hills just north of the Palace on Lapeer.
but for a while (still?) that was the only one in Michigan. We have one right near my house and our children love it, mostly for the play area. It's rough being the mascot there though.
There is one in Wixom off Wixom RD

After having to endure this last winter in Iowa, I suspect Nashville would be a welcome change.

also ones in Roseville (Little Mac south of 13 Mile Rd) and Madison Heights (12 Mile and Crooks) according to their website.

Oddly enough Wixom is autocorrected as Ricin. Go figure.
