hey! something positive (if obvious)... BG content

While today has been rough for us all, it really hit me that BG has come a long way in his development. Can't wait to see him on sundays. I remember when people got really annoyed with the fact that he was solely playing as a pass rusher a couple of years ago. he seemed to disappear on a lot of plays, only to be heard from on the occasional sack. The way he's developed into a run-stuffer as well is truly remarkable. In fact, I've been more impressed by his play this year than Woodley's senior year. Woodley had a tendency to disappear at points, even during the 12 sack campaign. Anyway, congrats to BGraham for developing into such a force. and the effort he gives is unmatched.

It's so fun to watch him play, because he brings such explosiveness to the line on every play. His hits look incredibly painful - I can't imagine that opposing RBs are too thrilled to see him breaking into the backfield. He's going to be missed next season. His successors have some big shoes to fill, for sure.

And for him to stay for four years even after he endured the beginning of the '07 campaign and then suffer through the slow, agonizing death that was the... wait, there was no '08 if i remember correctly, right? I guess the point I am trying to make is he stuck with us and thats just a little bit of terrific.

he has a great attitude, the guy is by far the best player on this team and he plays on special teams, and doesnt just go through the motions.

I also think BG has been more impressive this year than Woodley in his senior season. In 2006, offenses had to worry about Woodley, Branch, Taylor, Crable, Harris, and Burgess. This year, defenses are able to key in on BG because of either youth or lack of talent at the other DL and LB positions, and BG still comes up with huge plays consistently.

what's so impressive about BG is his ability to shed blocks with his hands which is what most NFL DE does in every plays. Leave him one on one with LT or RT against him, BG will win almost every time. This is his best year in Maize and Blue uni by far. We will miss him next year. Hopefully Craig Roh can fill BG's role as a DE which he is likely to move to that spot unless the coaches feel comfortable with RVB, Martin and Banks at line with Roh at Quick.
