Got my student ticket seat assignment today
Exicted to finally get my seat assignment. Section 30, row 63. I know, not the best, but being able to get season tickets for $175 and a t-shirt! I'll take that!
So this season if you see an old guy in the student section yelling louder than any of the students, that'll be me!
Go Blue!
Harbaugh!
How did you see that?

So are you a student then? Was a little thrown off by the "old guy" comment...
I paid $85 when I was in school.
of course it was in 1970 and 71. In todays dollars, a season ticket would only be $100 today.
So you guys are still getting screwed!
Plus you don't get to pass up boy scouts and coeds racing the other adjacent sections. You also don't get to drink Boonesfarm apple wine and pass the empty green bottles to the top of the stands where they were lined up on the top rail.
And you didn't get to see Woody Hayes rip up the downs marker at the end of a game because he thought, Thom Darden, our safety, interferred with his receiver on a PB. Woody was then serenaded by the entire crowd singing, "Good-bye Woody, Good-bye Woody, Good-bye Woody, we hate to see you go!" as the game ended.
Priceless!
You could carry in 12-packs no problem. Some students sold their OSU tickets for $30 since the game was on TV, which was rare in those days. Sacrilegious in my opinion!
WTF. My tickets were over $220. Fucking Dave Brandon.
Good row, but I was hoping for sideline seats like I had last year... I blame it on the one person in our seating group who didn't get perfect attendance...
Section 33 row B here. We all had perfect attendance, so I blame Dave Brandon. That's usually my go-to.
It's because of your perfect (and on time) attendance. I'm pretty sure they fill in row by row, from 26 over. And keep in mind that there are only four sections that go to the front, 26, 28, 31 and 33. So it goes 26-A, 28-A, 31-A, 33-A, 26-B, 28-B, 31-B, 33-B, 26-1, etc. Given that 28 and 31 are pretty narrow at the front, and I'm not sure if the students get all of 26, your seats are almost certainly among the 100 "best" in the entire student section. While 26 is the better section, there's something to be said about being right at the front...
I'm still pumped for the seats, just kinda bummed I'm in the endzone. It's still going to be amazing!
I think they prioritize row over section, i.e. under their allocation system your seats are "better" than, e.g., Section 26 higher up...
Brag away - that sounds amazing.
Section 26 row 32!!! A little higher up than I expected, but glad that I have a more frontward view of the field
this is about the best seat in the student section ... i have been almost everywhere from the front row to the back in 7 years of sstudent section gamess and i think the best views are rows 30-55 in the far right sections (26,27,28 and 25 if it is still being used)
of sitting Row A in the student section watching Braylon tear up the Spartans in the 4th quarter and overtime.
I'm in the same row as you. Section 28, Row 63. Ugh, I'm actually mad about this. Had perfect attendance all through freshman and sophomore year. And then I didn't want to pay a ridiculous amount for the atrocity last year (would have bought it if they had made it cheaper) so of course I get shafted my senior year.
I'm mad at Dave Brandon and his pricing decisions. I still went to the games, but I bought the tickets the day before from another student (was way cheaper). But because of that I didn't get the points needed for better seats this year.
Yeah, I saw my Junior year tickets as strictly an investment for senior year
So mine haven't been assigned yet, is that because I signed up through a group?
Maybe they're doing it in batches? Try checking again...
I'll try later this weekend. I did just buy them this week. MBA section, so I'm guessing we'll be a little farther back. Congrats to all who got em down close to the field.

Got my assignment too, section 25 row 2.
How / when do incoming first year students order/receive tickets?
EDIT: Nevermind, google is my friend:
My impression of my seating group was that we all had perfect attendance points, which may not in fact be true because I wasn't expecting to be further back than maybe row 5. Anyone else with perfect attendence end up this far back? (I know row 8 is still close in the grand scheme of things, but relative to the very front)
8 is the new 5. Harbaughamplification!
Thanks for posting. Since they're all now apparently assigned, I'll have to ask my daughter where hers are. I am so looking forward to being an obnoxious, frequently visiting dad this season.
