GoFundMe For A Friend
Hi everyone,
My buddy Pete took a nasty spill a week ago and has a serious head injury. The ambulance ride, ICU stay, and his inability to work for a couple of weeks is making life pretty hard on him. Pete has no ties to Michigan other than being the friend of a lurker on this site dating back to the HaloScan days. His insurance is okay but he's gonna be looking at some big bills and being out of work means his rent will be tough for the next month or two. If you have a few bucks you can spare for a great guy, I'd love to see the MGO community rally around a stranger in need. Thanks in advance.

They put $3,500 because they didn't think they could raise more. He's probably looking at 15K in bills plus three weeks without work. Delete if you must but it's definitely not going to the guys slush fund. I think they were surprised to get anything considering how hard people in this area were hit by the pandemic.

No one should go bankrupt trying to stay alive. Was in banking for about a decade and saw so many good people trying to recover from medical bankruptcies. "I did what I had to to stay alive and keep my house". Shouldn't be the case, but usually is.
