Forget his 3s, Duncan Does Defense now!
Good story on how Duncan has improved his defense. The kid's work ethic and persistence to improve his game is going to net him a very lucrative contract extension with the HEAT, imo.
Do you think the Heat would trade Duncan for Miles Bridges? Funny how things work out.
His shooting numbers have dropped across the board this year. Don’t want to change the body/routine too much.
He’s been on fire for the past couple weeks. I think his extended slump (for him is shooting like 38% from 3) has a lot to do with the short offseason and the Heat having a ton of injuries (Dragic, Bam, Herro, Butler) so the continuity from last season has been lacking. His numbers are climbing. He’s been at 43% from 3 in March and April
I am sure most of that is due to opponents actually having him closer to the top of the scouting report...
its the proverbial growth mindset - Duncan has continued to find levels that he can tap into...its pretty amazing actually
Franz is kind of the 'anti-Duncan'; plays defense incredibly well, but can't really get on a shooter's roll - mechanics wise, he should be able to be a threat all the time with his driving ability and his shooting stroke..
Like Duncan, he wasn't really assertive enough at the college level...he needs to learn that the NBA is a make or miss league
TB 12 method I'm sure. . .
New drinking game: Any time that any athlete talks about the TB12 Method, take a shot every time the word "pliable" is said.
You won't survive a Brady interview.
It looks like he's been playing better D from when he just got into the league. The Heat coaches must be doing a good job with him.
It’s funny, I listened to the Brandon Quinn/Nick Baumgardner podcast yesterday, and they talked about the transfer point guard Michigan State just picked up. Most of the discussion was about how remarkable it is that Mike Smith gelled so seamlessly with this team at a new level of competition and a different style of play.
The rest was about how hard it is for up-transfers in general to succeed. They struggled to name any in the Big Ten. Duncan getting overlooked again.
