This is why I refuse to play for money. One player getting injured could make you go from first to last. Plus I think it takes some of the enjoyment out of watching the games.

I stopped playing fantasy because the knob that always won was an insufferable grind who worked from home, sunk hours each day into doing research, and hoarded every free agent with a pulse. And at the end of the day, it just felt like 98% luck. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

This news broke during one of my league's drafts today. Some chump on auto-pick drafted Nelson in the 2nd round.

/Yes, I know it is way too early for a draft, but I'm not in charge. The league where I am the commish will draft after September 3 (problem is, it's an auto-draft LOL - we have players from all over the world, and have done auto-draft for eight years).

if it's a keeper league you pick Bell, no question. Idk what these other guys are smoking unless they think over the next 3-5 yrs AP will actually out-perform Bell. I highly doubt that.

Our league just had our live draft Friday. It was the only date where all 10 of us could make it work. Last year's champ drafted Jordy with his first round pick. Even though the rest of us are enjoying in his misery, I'll be a big advacate for not drafting until right before the rest begins next year.

I have Davante Adams on both my teams so his value is up significantly after this. However I am a Packers fan and this is brutal, but next man up. I'm lucky to root for a team that has the best depth in the league. We have Ty Montgomery and Jeff Janis waiting in the wings. If that doesn't work out, I guess we can always hand it off to that Lacy fella. On another note, I think if the league cared about player safety they'd rid the players of at least these stupid preseason games.

The injury happened hours before our draft. My veteran money league (which a bunch of us former SITES Fishbowl computer consultants started while in undergrad and has continued to this day) usually drafts after the third week of preseason. Not sure why it got moved up this year as it was out of my hands. That all said: I was able to get Davante Adams, so that should be helpful.
