The Simpson-Teske era is a top 3 most successful era of Michigan Basketball. Consider the accomplishments:
- National Runner-up
- 2 consecutive Big Ten Tournament Championships
- 3 consecutive Big Ten Tournament Finals appearances
- 2 other Sweet 16s
I'm hoping for one more (surprise) Big Ten Tournament Championship and another run to the Final Four as a dark horse.
So glad he switched sports
I can't read the text and don't remember this at all. What position did he play? How heavily recruited was he?
He was a 5 star long snapper
Throw the fade route!
Can he play DT?
Big frame, great feet but leverage is a bit of an issue.
Struggles to Finish.
but good luck if a QB in the pocket tries to throw over him.
Pad level too high.
So glad he played the right sport and got coaches who got the most out of him.
Hey...what is that OSU quality control coach doing in that picture???
He's "hearing" football.
Put him at DT just on place-kick defense and we might be on to something.
YES - I always think that if I was a coach I'd take one deep scrub big man off the basketball team (who may also already be on scholarship) and have him hang back to block deep FG attempts that might just barely clear the bar. It would be great. I would also take the smallest gymnast on the gymnastics team, give him the ball on goal line situations and have Ben Mason (or a lineman or my FG-blocking slender man) throw him over the pile for a touchdown (but I think that would be a penalty).
Only problem with this plan is that the second they see the field, their scholarship counts toward football, not basketball (or gymnastics). Not a great use of a scholarship.
If Teske could put on a 100 to 150 lbs of muscle he would have made a monster DT, 7'1 at 350 lbs.
Wouldn’t his height be a liability in a position where low man wins?
7'1 350 lbs of solid muscle, I'd at least like to see it...
Nah...he could just step over his opponent.
There is an unemployed sparty strength and conditioning coach that helped guys pack on the muscle. Maybe he can help?
This looks, and sounds, like fake news... never heard of this...cannot find it... don't believe it.
Pretty sure it’s a joke. Although I have no idea why it would be funny or joked about in the first place.
And I'll bet we STILL wouldn't throw a fade route inside the 10.
Tacopants!
Still very puzzling to me how poorly he and Juwan worked together..
