But Bob Ufer's voice is just a blessing to hear.  We don't hear it enough...  I feel bad for the young'uns that didn't get to grow up listening to him call a game.

Back in the early 1970's we were lucky to see maybe two Michigan games on TV all year.  There was no Internet, no ESPN, no live streaming.  There was WPAG and Bob Ufer.

And that was enough.

Many a Saturday I spent glued to the radio, listening to Ufer paint his word picture of the field and the action, me pacing back and forth in nervous anticipation of each play.
