Game Day Weather

After a cold day Friday with lots of clouds, Saturday looks a lot better! High pressure helps to clear out our skies for Halloween - check out the full moon tonight! We'll be a tad more seasonable, too, thanks to a warm front to the north.

It'll be cold in the morning! Mid 20s to start the day with plenty of sun! Full sun continues for the start of the game. By then we'll be in the mid 40s with a south wind beginning to pick up.

That breeze helps to bring in the warmer air! Winds will be out of the S at 10-15mph - leaves are pretty much in constant motion, you'd see small waves on the water.

We'll hit highs tomorrow toward the end of the game, making it up near 50 degrees! That's still a little below normal but it'll feel amazing compared to today, especially with the sun! Even if you're like most and just watching from home, you'll have a great opportunity to stretch your legs outside during halftime. You might just catch yourself standing out in the fresh air for an extra minute while grabbing another frosty beverage from the fridge in the garage!

Some clouds start to move in during the evening - oooh spooooky :) - with temps in the late night dropping to the lower 40s. You'll notice winds picking up.

Rain will move in after midnight, transitioning to mix and light scattered snow Sunday as temps drop to the 30s. Sunday will be windy with gusts out of the NW gusting to 40mph, so you may want to give yourself a little extra time getting home if you're traveling to watch this one. Bring the warm jacket too since wind chills Sunday will be in the mid 20s!

Hopefully we've got some good tricks up our sleeves and this game is all a treat for us! Happy Halloween and Go Blue!!

You forgot to mention a huge rush of air around 3PM as MSU's excitement for their new coach is deflated and warmer temps near Spartan areas in the evening as couches burn.

In all seriousness, thanks for your posts.  You have good descriptive words for visuals.
