I've covered Summit football…

I've covered Summit football before around the Nashville area. They just won the state championship.  Keaten's twin brother, Destin, is an incredible quaterback too. Could be a package deal where ever they end up. Both are big time players.

Haha, yeah the Gulch is the trendy new part of the city that everyone wants to go to. Needless to say I don't go there much.

I do agree a lot of this is…

I do agree a lot of this is true but Tennessee is partly in tornado alley and we can get really bad stroms here and tornadoes like the one that tore through a 50 mile stretch here last Spring.

And summer here is very hot and humid.

I currently live just…

I currently live just outside of Nashville. Moved here 8 years ago from Pennsylvania for music. I honestly love it here and I have met so many great friends but the city has grown and changed so much in the past 5 years or so. The cost of living here has gone up so much especially home and land prices and the small town feel the city once had is def. changing. Starting to feel more like a big city, like Atlanta a lot of folks say.

There is always something to do though around the area (pre covid) but the summer's here are hell. haha, unless you like constant heat and humidity. Fall, Winter and Spring are decent though. And yes, we can get a lot of rain in winter months.

Schools are not the best around the city but private is an option if you can afford it and also counties outside the city are good. Lots of parks and lakes around the area too that are nice.

Best of luck, Go Blue

I was there too, and I know…

I was there too, and I know the exact scene your talking about. It's something I'll never forget as a Michigan fan from Central Pennsylvania it was so amazing. Hope to have more memories like that one again one day. That team was special.

I was at that game in 99 as well. Two touchdowns in the last few minutes. What a comeback by Big Blue and Tommy. The classy PSU fans were throwing gum at me.

I was at that 34-8 win in…

I was at that 34-8 win in Unhappy Valley in 97. So great. One of the best performances I've ever seen from Michigan. Hope we can do the same tonight.

Is there a chance Tarik…

Is there a chance Tarik Black returns this season?? Anybody hear anything

The Game

Yes. I agree. I wouldn't mind seeing Penn state get beat down only to have Michigan somehow upset the Buckeyes and f up their season and their title hopes. Just like we used to.

Underdog

As bleak as this game looks I will say I like when Michigan is an underdog.

Doesn't happen often and may give them a little chip. Everyone keeps talking about how great PSU is and how bad Michigan is. Let them keep saying that this week.

and another interesting note is O'Korn is from Central Pennsylvania. so maybe a little extra motivation there.

Go Blue.

Judgement Day, 1997

I was at that PSU game at Beaver Stadium in 97. So damn great seeing Michigan just destroy PSU at home in the rain.

Being from Pennsylvania originally, let me tell you, PSU fans hate Michigan more then any team prolly because of this game. haha.

Damn that 97 team was good.

the Drake

haha..  Got to love the Drake...

Margaritas

haha. these are some great posts

watched some football and now taking the fiance out for some margaritas and tacos... and it's great having the miss's love hockey. cause mine does too.  GoBlue

#4

Yeah I've always like De'Veon.. The man is a straight up beast. He reminds me a little of another #4 who I felt was always underatted and could of been really good if not for Rich Rod's offense at the time. That being Brandon Minor. That kid was damn good.

November 8, 1997

I'll never forget this day. One of the best as a Michigan fan.

I spent the first 30 years of my life growing up in Pennsylvania and believe me when I say Penn State's most hated team is Michigan, with out a doubt,  probably because of this game and the 11 year stretch of losing to us.

I made the 3 hour trek with my family in pouring down rain and flooded roads to Happy Valley which would be UnHappy Valley by days end. haha.

All the talk all week and that day was how good Penn State was and how they were going to win this game. But as the game went on it became pretty obvious that Michigan was better then advertised. I remember Taylor's hit on the PSU sideline, watching Woodson waltz through the PSU secondary for a touchdown and all those stunned fans. Oh and Michgan's defense absolutley smoothering Penn State's offense.

This was undoubtably the game that let the Nation know who was the best team in the country. The next week Michigan rolled into Madison and then the 20-14 win over the buckeyes.

What a season.
