Meyer got off very lightly for the failure to supervise such a terrible human being. Those who hold him up as such a wonderful coach need to read the report and rethink their position.
I will always remember Meyer for his mishandling of Zac Smith as I remember Tressell for tattoos. His winning record is irreparably tarnished, as is his legacy.
Thanks as always for your analysis, BSiB. It sucks to start off the season with the terrible Jordan McNair death first and foremost in the news. Why the players are not being monitored closely for heat stroke is inexcusable. The players health comes first.
Back to Opponent Watch, I think we will beat ND, but it will be close.
The “I didn’t know” defense does not hold water, if it ever did. Still, the victim blaming continues at 11W, and Urban is trying to stay afloat. With great rewards come great responsibility, and Meyer must be held accountable.
Whether this actually happens is very much open for debate. Great piece of writing, Brian.
The facilities are vastly superior to what our team was subjected to in West Lafayette. The visiting team are guests, and should be treated as such, except for when they are taking a pounding on the field of play.
Good sports town, loads of culture, lots to do. Out of the seven major metropolitan areas where I have lived, the drivers around Boston are the craziest.
You have the best rooting section ever to help keep your spirits up. May your journey to recovery be filled with successes so you can live the most fulfilling life possible.
We are all cheering you on!!

21-7 and less than 100 yards for the sparties......
NO victory for MSU :)
Integrity?? There is none here in this sordid mess.......
Well done, Clay Travis.
Brett McMurphy may have to relocate, like Herbstreit did. Buckeye irrationality knows no bounds....
Disgusting, but not surprising. Behavior by this Police Department is no different from than the Talahassee PD sweeping FSU’s misdeeds under the rug.

Good column, Brian. Player safety was sadly missing at Maryland, and a grieving family now pays the price.
Training staffs not responding to players suffering from heatstroke is criminal negligence; all staff found negligent should be fired.

His show is so bad, even ESPN can see it.

Happy Friday, MgoBloggers!!
I was able to log on for the first time today after trying for several days. I also received the incorrect password message.
So great to have success in so many sports across the board. Lots of talented young men and women out there!
