Limiting class size to 85 hasn't made for more parity. The only thing it is doing is limiting certain guys from being able to get scholarships.
I disagree. I;m old enough to remember the Big 2 vs the Little 8. Michigan and Ohio State had second string players that would have started at Purdue, Indiana, Illinois, Iowa, etc. Limiting scholarships to 85 has certainly helped Wisconsin, Iowa, MSU, etc. and has achieved some parity across the board.
I love Big Lake Brewing and their taproom. Also, in Holland, New Holland Brewing with Dragon's Milkl, Ichabod, Cabin Fever Brown Ale and The Poet are my favorites. Another great taproom but downtown and not at the Brewing facility.
Thanks for sharing. I loved the interchange between the two coaches.
Did anyone pick up at the end about only two people in the elevater at a time and how it slowed down loading the bus because of Covid protocol? We don't often hear little things like this and how teams are working to stay safe from Covid.
I loved how this team responded to Maryland when they switched to zone defense in the second half. They decimated it and made Maryland quickly go back to man.
Hunter Dickinson assist to Eli Brooks was a thing of beauty as was Brooks' finish.
I have been brewing for 9 years and am still old school with my equipment. Propane burner, 10 gallon stainless steel pot, plastic bucket fermenters. Today was a brew day and I have my Moose Drool clone fermenting, which I call Wolverine Slobber. My brewery is named Maize and Blue Brewing.
I still bottle all my beers and have an Olde Ale, Irish Red, Scotch Ale, Porter, Oberon Clone, Cream Ale and Dragon's Milk Clone ready to drink. I like having a variety of beers on hand ready to drink so I have a choice.
I like malty beers and I like big ABV Beers. I have made meads, ciders and make wine for my wife.
During games you see Beilein have a teaching moment when players are substituted. Izzo just screams at the player as they leave the floor and has been known to grab them by the jersey and scream at them.
They really failed the football category but the champion did a good Mr. Burns on one of his answers.
My new game show guilty pleasure is after Jeopardy turning to the Game Show Network and watching Family Fued. What a hoot. Steve Harvey's facial expressions are priceless and he really gives it to them when they give a stupid answer.
My dad was a Michigan fan when Fritz Crisler was the coach. Michigan was the only team my Dad and my 3 brothers ever rooted for. My dad never went to college but that never stopped him from rooting for the maize and blue.
I was born and raised in Northern Michigan (Walloon Lake, Boyne City High School) and my Michigan fandom was cemented in 1969 when Barry Pierson, from St. Ignace (a rival in our conference at that time) returned THE punt 60 yards against Ohio State and set up first and goal from the three yard line. Two plays later, Don Moorhead, of South Haven, scored on a quarterback sneak and Killian added the extra point kick to increase Michigan's lead to 21-12.
I have been a Michigan fan ever since and bleed maize and blue. I have one tatoo, a Block M on my calf.
From the first half when we were down by double digits I couldn't watch anymore. I love John Beilein and this team but my heart can't take it. I'll watch it on YouTube and enjoy every minute of it even knowing how it ends.
You think coming back for his sophomore year has hurt Bridges at all? Probably not but in a weak BIG this year they are not doing as well as predicted.
There were several times during the game that showed SC Coach railing at the refs. I miss the days when they showed Harbaugh doing the same thing. The only time I remember seeing our coach depicted was his reaction after Peters threw the last interception. Even his reaction there was subdued, IMO.
If he goes 9-3 and/or 8-5 the next couple of years with a Bowl win, who comes calling to hire him? Eliminating Big 10 teams who will need a head coach in two years? There are lots of programs that would be a lateral transfer and about ten that would be a step up.
I imagine he will stay east of the Mississippi or no farther west than Texas. I see him staying at Maryland a minimum of three more years no matter his record.
May be just one game but was glad to see free throw shooting was back on track. 9 - 12 for team, Robinson 5--5 and Matthews 3-5 to lead the way. Those are big in close games.
Don't want to be a Debbie Downer but now have to lower the turnovers to single digits.
I agree about the free throws. Beilein teams have been killer from the free throw line in past years. If I'm a coach and the game is close I would go into Hack-a-Shaq mode on Michigan.
The Army-Navy Game was a true rivalry and both teams left it all out on the field. I really enjoyed watching this game today. The snow and cold was just an added bonus.
We can win out if we can score 28 points each game. Brandon Peters will have to hit some big passes as well as consistantly make sure his short passes are on the money.
I was an undergrad at then Lake Superior State College. Wind was blowing so hard you could lean into it and it would hold you up. Me and others were doing that as we fought our way from the Library to our Dorm.
It didn't surprise me to hear that a ship had goine down and it hit close to home as my brother was a cook on the ore boats at that time.
I don't see him getting any more minutes at OSU than he did at Michigan. What I see is he gets to play another year of Major College Basketball and learn under another respected coach (Beilein and Holtman). Someone said he was in journalism but I think he would be a good prospect to go the coaching route.
There are at least two types of penalties. Offsides, illegal formation, illegal procedure, facemask, etc. are standard calls. Pass interference, holding (offense and defense), block in the back, etc. are subjective and can majorly change the outcome of a game.
The numbers should be redone to eliminate the standard calls and then using just subjective calls see where we land.. If we are still last or next to last in the the BIG then we may have a beef.
"The two collectors had 40-odd white-paneled footballs, each emblazoned with Alabama’s logo"
My daughter gave me a Michigan autographed white-paneled football with Michigan logo. Has Higdon's autograph on it among a bunch of other players (but not Peppers). Does that mean he was paid? Were the other players paid?
In my opinion, if not for his age, he would be sought after by so many teams. I feel that USC and LSU both would be better teams than the coaches they have now.

Thanks for the update. I don't use X so missed the message. I will be looking forward to it and will definitely buy it.
Getting worse the longer he is in the league. From groin kicks to knockout punches. I'm thinking 10 game suspension.
It all depends on which Moussa shows up. The double points Moussa or the 2 early fouls and sit Moussa.

Greater minds than ours make these decisions.

Fantastic to go into their house and rip them a new one.

I really hope Nebraska and Penn State go a long way in the NIT so it helps to set things up for the BIG next year.
I wonder if the layoff will dull the memory of the committee and if it could affect us if we are a borderline 3 seed.
On a side note, how does Purdue rate a 2 seed when they did not win the BIG or the BIG Tournament?
Nick Hopwood and Peak Wealth Management can assist you with that. Experts doing what they do and making life easier for M Go Bloggers.

Especially Toledo getting schooled by Appalachian State. Thought the MAC would represent themselves much better than this.
Both Arizona schools lost, Washington State lost, UCLA lost, Oregon lost Stanford loses after having a big lead and USC not looking so good right now.
I dislike the bald guy more than the cowboy.
Dressing up should be done by Frat Boys, not grown men. IMO

No former Lions head coach has received another head coach position after coaching the Lions. It is the black hole for head coaches.
I'm not sure Bill Belichick could win at Detroit.

With huge linemen being recruited it looks like PJ Fleck is trying to make Minnesota into Wisconsin 2.0
How would this impact the number of scholarships available for this year? Would we be maxed out after getting as many as four transfers?
A Christmas Story
Charlie Brown Christmas
Drinking Moose Drool clone I made that I call Wolverine Slobber.

I will be so glad to never see the name O'korn on a Michigan Jersey again. His performances is like a plate of sweet and sour shrimp.
Compared to last year these refs are calling a fair game. Go Blue!!
Katelyn Flaherty is going to shatter that record and put it out there so it may last as long as Diane Dietz's record of 35 years.

No turnovers!
I did not serve but was able to provide support for our Marine and Navy troops at Marine Corps Air Station Cherry Point, Camp Lejeune and Bogue Field.
Thank you for your service.
Ooo Rah!
Go Blue!
We have tried to mute TV and play radio for Michigan games but the plays aren't in sync. One or the other is a play ahead or a play behind.
We have a saying in our house, "The nice thing about sports is you don't have to hear them to know what is going on."

One out in the bottom of the ninth. Game tied 4-4.
Tied with runner at third. Dang if the boys didn't come back and make a game of it! Woot!
Two on, two out. Top of the ninth.
Down to our last out. Man on first.
