I'm not making an excuse for them I'm just saying their is a massive difference in the kind of kids they allow in and the kids Bama lsu fsu osu and georgia let in.....I used to live in the south I'm telling you Bama and lsu have rosters full of grown men it's almost unbelievable watching them in person and then watching others schools....lsu is just poorly coached they have a team full of Patrick Peterson and Leonard fournette level athletes and lose to Troy Bama on the other hand well we all see what coaching plus elite talent looks like

Urban already turned notre dame down it's to hard to win big there due to academic standards....we have seen the ceiling for that program the 5 touchdown beatdown they took from Bama with 21 senior starters....
50% more like 80% I have yet to see a coach without a loaded roster win a national title in the last decade it's all about the talent on the field....dabo is the only coach I've seen win big time games at a massive talent disadvantage
Peae is not a guard he will be at nose tackle behind Solomon he isn't moving positions staff has already said this..... To much size and very athletic jeter is inside at 3t that gives you 4 young interior guys who we no can play.....I agree on Johnson getting late early.....irving bey is still a freshman and Carl Meyer just provides depth .....of course you want a d tackle every year but they will be fine as long as they land 2-3 next year they have enough for the next couple of seasons...
Idk about that he was good against the run but was beat almost every time in coverage ........I understand that is a mismatch but this is why you see the staff getting guys that can run at lb singleton Anthony Mccgrone Reese are a different type of athlete that can play in space.....safety is the only real area of concern on d which in my opinion is why they are loading up on guys who can cover....
Nah dt is fine they have Marshall and mone dwumfor and Solomon who both have 3 years left.....behind that they have jeter irving bey peaea Ron Johnson and Carl Meyer all having 3 or 4 years of eligibility they are fine.....that 7 guys with 3 or more years
Yep makes perfect sense to me considering every team they faced attacked McCray and the safeties all game.....fix the safety position in coverage and this will be the number 1 d in the nation next year....
If the safeties get better they will be....most of the big plays this year were the safeties getting beat or out of position or McCray in space.....lb will be ok little worried about the safeties tho
They have a massive talent advantage most of the people on this board could call he plays for the d at Bama and they would be a top 5 unit.....wouldn't surprise me if they took partridge as a coordinator especially with the way he recruits georgia

Dpj improved a ton this year kid has been open almost all game the last 5 weeks except his matchup with denzel ward who is a junior probably getting drafted top 10.... Perry is almost always open nico looked good yesterday most of his problem was not knowing the offense.. Add black and they will be fine next year at reciever qb play and the tackles are this teams major problems.....
I think we all see the oline has no power outside of big mike bredeson is clearly not strong enough if he were he would be dominant.... Kugler was getting tossed like a rag doll all season long .....have to get stronger in the trenches and learn how to pick up delayed blitzes and twists
Not only a qb you need a deep threat to keep their safeties honest every team hey have lost to had an elite reciever.....mike Williams for clemson.....lea quant read well for ole miss....micheal Thomas for osu.....mike Evans for texas a and m .....elite reciever to back the safeties up and a qb who can create plays otherwise hey will run you off he field georgia is going to get beatdown pretty bad
Osu is not returning everyone they lose the entire d line a safety corner and linebacker on d....2 oline men on offense....but I agree we need to flat out get better ....
In his first season they should have been 7-5 caught a couple lucky breaks but they weren't very good as osu exposed 42-13.... They came back the next year and were better by a big margin should have been undefeated didn't show up to play at iowa and speight turned the ball over in Columbus is all that stood between them and Indy.....what happened between year 1 and 2? Returned the bulk of the roster experience matters not only experience but you are playing other teams backups from the year before.....for example psu is losing 8 senior 3 year started on d all their receivers and Barkley we are basically playing their second team this year next year. The exact opposite of this year which you see went from 49-10 us to 42-13 them it matters a lot. Same with osu went from 42-13 to double to in a game michigan should have won. Next year every team on the schedule except msu is losing the bulk of their starters
Why does everyone think they had a weak schedule....and then say our schedule next year is brutal? Bama would run our schedule winning every game by at least 3 touchdowns
When coach d got to msu rich rod wasn't recruiting michigan the big 10 penn state was on sanctions and osu had tressel gate.....he got the top players out of michigan PA ohio and New Jersey the 2013 team was sick the best team he will ever field.....there wasn't a lack of talent in east Lansing he had studs up and down the roster and still never delivered a national title not sure if harbaugh will but I'm positive coach d won't so you can't put him in the convo with dabo urban or saban....
Give him time to right the ship next year the only coach I would like to have as much as him would be dabo but I still believe harbaugh can get the job done
Campbell? Why not back up the brinks truck and get dabo texas a and m style he owns urban and makes the playoffs every year despite not getting top 10 recruiting classes....assuming next year harbaugh can't turn it around
Idc about pre season picks penn state came out of nowhere 2 years ago and were clearly the best team in the big 10 this season....who gets better in the offseason and who doesn't is what matters msu had a great offseason and you saw the results every year is different in college unless you're Bama or clemson

Coach d went 3-9 and has lost 6 games in 40 percent of his seasons if harbaugh loses 6 he would likely resign lol....urban I agree tho has 3 national titles
They also returned 7 starters on d thus the massive improvement .....not defending today but msu was just as young but a lot more experienced that makes a huge difference.....Phil Steele is spot on with most of his projections there is a reason he understands experience is the most important thing in college ball. The notre dame game will tell us all we need to know.....if we can't beat a team replacing 4 o line starters the entire front 7 and possible a qb making his first start in week 1 it will be a long long season
