I agree with this. I actually liked Ed. I thought Brian was dismissive of him. 

Is roundtable always on Tuesdays for now on? I liked them on Thursdays because to me it is an intro into the weekend. 

I think the biggest reason this loss stings is blowing a 16 point lead. If they had been trading the lead throughout the game then I don't think you would have had the same reaction. Another great post, as always. Thanks

I agree with you but not sure many others will. I actually was hoping we'd hire him in 2015. 

I was a RR supporter until the bitter end (I am a glutton for punishment) and thought the way Brandon treated him was disgraceful. The 2011 sets up a great “what if”. What if Brandon did not fire RR and what if RR hired Mattison to run the defense. Yo7 would have to assume similar results in 2011, in which case RR likely gets extended. Wonder how long he would have lasted.

I currently don’t have an opinion on firing JH, but to your point on head coaching turnover, another problem has been intra-regime turnover. Position coach turnover has been incredibly high, with many hiring failures. That is what has me concerned about JH: his ability to put together a competent staff.

I like Ed but I know you will do a great job in his place. Plus there will be less friction:)

I was disappointed with both the post-game write-up and the podcast. I am always more interested in analysis after a loss than a win.

I think Brian respects Ace. I think Seth though is overly deferential to Brian and never pushes back when Brian disagrees with him. On WTKA it is seems to me that Brain does not like to be challenged, especially by Ed. I would have thought that Brian would respect Ed's analytical, numbers based opinions.

I think this is mostly a talent issue, but it bothers me how undisciplined and disorganized they seem at times. 

Thanks for these columns. It is always one of my post-game must-reads. Thanks as well for publishing on Sunday as Monday mornings at work always hectic.

I just feel bad for Ed whom I like and I think has good insights. Just seems that Ed senses this and goes out of his way to be deferential towards him.

I get feeling that Brian has no tolerance for Ed Fang. Can’t understand why. 

Nice analysis. I was extremely happy with the RR hire and was tremendously disappointed by his tenure. I thought the Hoke hire was a reaction to RR and an obviously poor hire.

Written by someone who obviously loved the hire. I thought he gave a good defense of Rich, though obviously in retropsect it was a bad hire.

Was an avid Viking fan in the 1970's, and need to correct Craig. The Vikings had a HOF QB named Fran Tarkenton. Kapp left before Foreman came, and Chuck Foreman was a fast half-back, not a fulback. Tarkenton was no JOK. They did have a very innovative offense under Jerry Burns. 

but this is disappointing, I generally like Mandel and listen to this podcast every week, though Feldman's monotone voice gets on my nerves. I am acutally listening to the podcast now but have not gotten to the mailbag.

When was the last time a recruit decomitted from a school then recommitted later? Must be rare.

If Hoke's recruiting was so good, why was Harbaugh so unimpressed with his players? Did have a unique ability to identify 4 and 5 star talent that was really 3 start  talent, or was it simply a player development issue?

It is amazing to me how little they know about Michigan football, and I would have to assume they know little about the other teams they cover. Is Morris really the key to a successful season? At this point I am not even sure he is going to start.

It seems that the first two round career lengths have been trending down the last few years. Is that because teams are getting less effective at identifying eleite talent (doubtful) or is it because there has been a change in the top position groups taken, position groups that have a generally shorter career.

I thought Herman hire was great one for Houston. For some reason I am not sold on idea that Narduzzi will be successfulas HC but time will tell.

I couldn't agree with you more,especially in your comments about Denard, recruiting and his press conference. Sorry, but he does not strike me as a particularly astute football mind, and quite frankly I am getting tired of the "loves Michigan" and "toughness" themes. These to me are swipes at RR. I was very encouraged by the defensive hires but I am not impressed by Borges and where he wants to take the offense. I think we are going to regress further and only be competitive in teh Big Ten but not nationally. I still think Dan Mullen would have been the best hire,someone younger, more dynamic and more in-tune with where college football is headed.
