With my high school senior daughter. It was cheaper for her to go to a private school than either Michigan or Michigan st. While you don’t get to enjoy the D1 athletics at a small school, I’ll take the equal or better education at a lower price every time...and I still have season tickets so she can still root for Michigan on Saturday’s if she chooses to.
I just watched a Dad of 3 girls molested by Larry Nassar ask the judge for 5 min in a locked room with him, after getting rejected he sprinted after Larry in dramatic fashion. Sadly the bailiff stoped him just short :(
Over the weekend and was pleasantly surprised at how much time I spent enjoying the Alfa lineup. Both the Giulia and Stevio in Quadrifoglio trim are great looking, with amazing performance. I love that Alfa is making a comeback, and I expect to see more of them on the road going forward. We saw a few other cool things, but the Alfa’s were the surprise for me.
WTF took so long and I’ll kind miss that logo, as it has been a favorite of mine since I was a kid. Definitely the right call, but please find something better than that boring C
Glad he’s finally doing the right thing. On a side note: I was a party to a conversation with Mosallam in the Summer 2016 and he was absolutely convinced of Nassar’s innocents, claiming “they have it all wrong” “it’s a medical procedure”. My friend who was the 3rd in the convo & a spartan Dad, has been diligently defending the University and to a point Nassar, right up till these girls spoke...Now I haven’t heard from him in 2 weeks..
I am so glad they dropped the hammer on Larry. I’ve also been impressed with spartan nation (excluding the leadership) 99% of Spartys are rightfully outraged and I expect them to keep the pressure on Simon/Hollis ect. However...that got me thinking. Would they be as outraged if it threatened their Footballl/Basketball team? Look at how many Penn st folks still refuse to live in reality. Now that Larry has been put away, I have to believe the focus will shift to USGA and MSU. When that happens, I bet the Appling/Paine Alleged rapes will come back into focus, along with those that swept them under the rug. I’ll be curious to see how much outrage there is for those victims.
Looks like they are doubling down on everything with little chance of doing the right thing. I remember when these threads started and some members were referring to MSU as the Fighting Larry Nassar’s, in all honesty I thought it was childish at best and fairly inappropriate given the scope of the abuse. With that said, the responses of support from BoT, the CYA statements from Simon, plus weird Izzo commentary...they really don’t care about doing the right thing. They just want it to go away while keeping their good name at any cost. Maybe the Fighting Larry Nassar’s is more appropriate than I originally thought. I hope those girls take down each and every one of the enablers at MSU and beyond.
Fortunately we bring back nearly everyone on both sides of the ball. At some point the ball will bounce our way, the coaching staff will step up its game, and I will be happy I paid my PSD.
