Pretty sure the clock would…

Pretty sure the clock would have still been stopped even if they declined the penalty.  I think Lanning fucked up, but not sure it would have mattered in the long run.

Anybody watching this NIU -…

Anybody watching this NIU - Buffalo game agree that we may have dodged a bullet with Linguist leaving?  Some of the worst clock management and play calling I've ever seen.

Also Dan Mullen.

Also Dan Mullen.

The biggest bitch of it is…

The biggest bitch of it is that this play was blocked to the safety, who was playing the deep middle with his eyes looking to help with Anthony.  Corum (if he had the ball) ends up with a crease between who I believe is  Zinter and Hayes, and then acres of space that I doubt that safety can do anything about.  Its more than likely a touchdown:

This is my recollection as well.  It drove me crazy that Lloyd would give every 2nd quarter (or more) to Henson even after it was clear Henson wasn't quite there yet.  Seemed to disrupt things too often.

What a gutty performance by the Fresno QB.  Glad I stayed up to watch.

Two of the most iconic plays in program history are punt returns from the best players on the team at that time.

Wildcat bs offense is gonna cost NW this game.

If there's ever a chance to avenge the -48 rushing yard, 7 sack embarrassment of 2013, this is it...  Do it for Devin Gardner!!!

Kevin Cash should have been…

Kevin Cash should have been fired immediately after the 6th inning.

The only "tomfoolery" was…

The only "tomfoolery" was the third down play where Patterson decided to hand off for 3 yards instead of taking a shot to DPJ who was open by yards immediately.  Should have been an easy touchdown.  I've been a Shea defender for two years, but unfortunately today was a microcosm of his time here.  Way too many plays and points left on the field.

Fuck her.

Fuck her.

Ruby was an overly eccentric…

Ruby was an overly eccentric blabber mouth who thought he was much more important than he really was.  Not someone the mob would have used for such an enormous "task."

If you can find it, check…

If you can find it, check out "Nova: Cold Case JFK" that aired on PBS.  I'm a huge JFK assassination buff, and that is perhaps the best documentary I've seen as far as using modern forensics to analyze the shooting.

Ruby wired money to one of…

Ruby wired money to one of his dancers from a Western Union a block from the police station at 11:17 AM.  There's a time stamped receipt.  He then walked the block to the station and shot Oswald at 11:21 AM.  No way a hired hitman cuts it that close.  One more customer in front of him at WU and he misses Oswald, who was actually scheduled for transfer at 10 AM, on top of it.  Ruby saw the commotion and acted impulsively, plain and simple.

Checked out the site out of curiosity.  Dude is spot on concerning the JFK assassination.  I can't wait until we do that one.

I got into this one a few months back.  The odd cell phone activity and pictures found on said cell phone are creepy as hell.

Perhaps the best episode yet that didn't include a battle or any major action, imo.

Always been a Tiger fan, and I agree with everything you said.  But, as this Onion article from 2010 makes light of, "rock bottom" is a relative term!

That's right, forgot about the SEC tie in to the Sugar Bowl.  Thanks.

Question:  If Bama loses and…

Question:  If Bama loses and doesn't get into the playoff, what are the chances we draw them in a NY6 game?

Well, perhaps Hoke shouldn't…

Well, perhaps Hoke shouldn't have been doing that, and he wouldn't have lost to the Marylands and Minnesotas of the world.

Say what you will about Harbaugh, in games that matter (regular season games, not meaningless bowl games) the only terrible loss in my eyes is 2016 Iowa, and we all know about Night Kinnick.  If you want to throw in 2017 MSU, fine, but the lack of a functioning QB and the weather are mitigating.  Honestly, all of 2017 was a mess due to the QB situation, but even so he won every game you would expect and was in every other minus PSU.  Here's the final CFP rankings for every regular season loss except the above two:

2015: #3 MSU (flukiest play of all time), #7 OSU, #22 Utah (first game, night road game)

2016: #3 OSU (ref screw job)

2017: #5 OSU, #6 Wisconsin, #9 PSU

2018: Likely #3 ND, Likely top 5 OSU

So, excusing the first game of his UM career and two meaningless bowl losses, he's lost 10 games:  3 to playoff teams, 2 to the first team out, and 3 more to teams ranked between 6th and 9th in the final CFP poll.  That's 80% of his meaningful losses.  The other two were at Night Kinnick and to MSU without a QB in a monsoon.

I guess what I'm getting at is, unlike his two predecessors, he's won almost every game he should.  Maybe that's because he knows the talent hasn't been there across the board to look ahead to any one game.  You say Hoke did so with OSU, yet the only time he beat them was when they were mediocre, and even that wouldn't have happened if Braxton Miller doesn't over throw a guy behind the defense with a minute left.

It seems the talent is in place to consistently beat MSU and PSU, but not yet OSU.  Until that time, I'll gladly take a coach that gets us to that game with everything in reach and take our chances.  Maybe that time will never come, I'm sure the SEC has been saying the same thing about Alabama for 10 years.  OSU is a juggernaut on our schedule every year, one that every other non SEC West team doesn't have standing in their way.  I think it will, but if it doesn't, it's not because of Harbaugh.  There are plenty of other coaches that won't beat OSU either, but not many that will have the success outside of that game that Harbaugh has attained in 4 short years.

And so he spoke, and so he…

And so he spoke, and so he spoke

That coach of OSU

But now his lies have been exposed

And his brain's turned to goo

Also, Jourdan Lewis being…

Also, Jourdan Lewis being held, which turned into a block in the back.

How about the PI called on a pass 8 feet over Samuel's head in the 4th quarter.

Or the non-call PI on the 3rd down pass to Perry in our second OT possession.

Not to go off topic, but…

Not to go off topic, but what exactly do "we" know that is bunk?  The JFK assassination has been a bit of an obsession for me since I watched a 25th anniversary special about it when I was 7 years old.  In my estimation, 99.9% of the bunk concerning the case comes from the conspiracy crowd.  Meanwhile, 99.9% of the physical evidence points to LHO as the lone gunman.

End rant.

Good call.  OSU got…

Good call.  OSU got dominated at home by Oklahoma, and if they would have only lost their second game by 10 instead of 30, they would have been in the playoff.  I'm disappointed about last night, too.  But I certainly saw some things that give me reason to believe this team can beat everyone left on their schedule.  This team still has everything in front of them.

Didn't OSU allow like 10…

Didn't OSU allow like 10 sacks in their early loss to VaTech the year they won it all?

You're thinking of Smarty Jones, but your point remains valid.

This year's Kentucky Derby…

This year's Kentucky Derby field (and 3 year old crop as a whole) was widely regarded as the deepest since probably Barbaro's win in 2006.  The fact that this horse had zero 2 year old foundation, and was not on anybody's radar as late as February, makes what he's accomplished even more impressive.

So, you'd rather see a…

So, you'd rather see a jockey sabotage their own chance at winning just to make sure another horse doesn't win?  Jerry Bailey did that to Smarty Jones in 2004, and people still haven't forgiven him.  Also, while it's only been 3 years since American Pharoah, this is only the second Triple Crown in 40 years.  People in 1978 were probably pretty "sour" about having had 3 in 5 years.

Besides, I'm not sure it would have mattered.  Horses with early speed on top of high "cruising" speed like Justify and AP can establish the position they want and dictate the race to their liking.  Had Noble Indy been sent, without any other tactical speed in the race, its likely that Justify would have happily stalked him around the track and took command whenever he was ready.  Don't forget, he was pressed through quick early fractions in the Derby, and had Good Magic at his throat for the first mile of the Preakness, and the outcome was the same.

Grand Armory's

Wheezin' the Juice is nice.  I like the fact that its a juicy IPA without being ridiculously hazy.

Bells Hopsolution is probably the easiest drinking DIPA I've had, if you're looking for a more traditional IPA (and higher ABV!!).

Just remembered

this tidbit from our trip.  Here's a photo from the website of the hotel we stayed in at Mackinaw City:

Here's what happened literally the night after we checked out and went home:

https://www.clickondetroit.com/lifestyle/watch-northern-lights-appear-o…

I was pissed.

Wife and I

did a week with the kids last July.  Stayed five nights in Sault St Marie, but made the drive to Tahquamenon Falls, as well as Pictured Rocks for the tour.  Quite a bit of driving, but I enjoy it and driving up there is nothing like driving in metro Detroit.  Our youngest was almost 3 at the time, tho.  Your driving experience may differ with an 11 month old!!  Anyway, those two locations, along with the Soo Locks are musts in my opinion.  I suppose Mackinac Island is as well, although I could do without it.  We spent the last two nights in Mackinaw City, which has quite a bit to do, as well as awesome views of the bridge both day and night.

One other thing I haven't seen mentioned, but may not be feasible with an 11 month old, is Headlands International Dark Sky Park:

http://www.midarkskypark.org/

It's just over 3 miles directly west of Mackinaw City.  If you get an ideal night for star gazing, its spectacular.  Jupiter was so bright, it was reflecting off the lake.  The night we were there somebody showed up with the largest portable telescope I've ever seen.  Thing looked like a cannon.  Viewing Saturn through it was unreal, as well as some other cool stuff that people much smarter than me spoke about.  Anyway, that's enough nerdiness from me.  Whatever you do, enjoy!!!
