The 2007 Illinois game was a fun one. Went down with some family to attend, Illinois had a good team with Juice Williams and Rashard Mendenhall. We were down 14-3 early but Henne willed the team to victory with Mike Hart out due to injury. Also, it was the first night game I've ever attended and the atmosphere was unreal.
got to see Edward Sharpe last summer at a musis festival with Mumford & Sons and Old Crow Medicine Show. Mumford and Old Crow were amazing, but the best part of the weekend was seeing Edward Sharpe. They put on an incredible show.
as a current CMU student I wish this would happen, but I gotta tell you, this team is BAD..I know Iowa is no Michigan State, but if Central keeps it within a few TD's I'd be shocked..and thats with AIRBHG doing his damage
Waking up in the hotel and hopefully watching some painfully bad ND Quarterback play, then walking around Dallas all day and hopefully get to the stadium no later than 7 for the game..words cannot express how excited I am for football to be here again..GO BLUE! BEAT BAMA!
I get that people like us buy these jerseys and if they sell DB will continue producing new uniforms..but do you buy into the "alternate" jerseys help sell recruits?..because I for one am fine with the standard away jerseys..but that is just my opinion...but I saw TomVH retweet some recruits saying they loved these..so maybe they do help a little..who knows?
just got home from work already steaming mad about Fitz and now our even slimmer chances of taking home a W from Bama..now this stuff with Frank Clark..pass me a beer..now
That was by far my favorite read of the entire forum..how you can have so little faith in your team is beyond me..granted, I was in the student section with very little hope, I knew somehow Denard was gonna do it..by far the best atmosphere I've ever been apart of..that and the win this year vs Ohio
just having a few Busch Lights (you know, because of being a poor college kid) and listening to some records (The Who, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Led Zep, etc...) here's to only a little over a month til football starts!
As much as it hurts having to say this (because I'm a current CMU student) there's not a snowball's chance in hell we keep this game within 21 points..Radcliffe has experience yes, but lacks actual talent, all my friends here in Mt P are just praying for a respectable game (and to have a good tailgate of course!)
I cried 3 times during UTL, once when we took the lead after Smith broke free on the screen, once when ND took the lead on the broken coverage and finally when we Roundtree came down with the final throw. Only comparable moment was being there when Brock touched the banner. That was a whole different kind of emotion. Still get shivers thinking about it.
I heard the chest painters from last year are coming back to show everyone the last time they passed a midterm..my guess it's 1,347 days or something..
After the big chill a friend and I stayed after and snuck on the field and took pictures on the ice, after that we went out to the parking lot and saw Carl Hagelin and his family from Sweeden. After talking to them for a while we decided to head home, as we turned to leave we see Dave Brandon walking outside with his family. Not wanting to disturb him I quickly said "Everything went great today Mr. Brandon" and i expected him to walk right by, instead he came over and talked to my friend and I for a good 5 minutes about the game and his holiday plans and how excited he was for the Gator Bowl. He was a great guy to meet and with all the pressure on him I was greatly suprised he took the time out of his busy day to talk to a couple college students.
