The start of a stretch of games where we can see who can get more minutes off of the bench. I'm hopeful that Johns will step up. It would be very nice if he could give us a solid 10-15 minutes per game.
This will be my first basketball game in AA despite being a football season ticket holder. I'm excited to see this team play in person. Go Blue.
I have never felt any emotion towards Pat Fitzgerald. He was just another coach who didn't affect me either positively or negatively. After reading and seeing this, I am now a big Pat Fitzgerald fan. It's hard to explain..
Easy for me because it just happened at the osu game last year. We are sitting in our two reserved seats and a meathead Michigan fan (obviously knew nothing about the team) showed up with his ditzy osu wife. This guy is sitting beside me for a whole quarter and obviously mad about the tight seating. At one point, to diffuse an apparent issue, I even joked about the tight seating. Then in the second quarter, he says something to the effect of “You better move the fuck over or I’m going to snap.” LOL..So I then stand up, show him I’m in my correct seat, and am heated. We get into a war of words, but he sort of backs down after likely figuring out how wrong he was. I was certain he was going to hit me and, like I said, he was a big boy.
The rest of the game was uncomfortable to say the least. I left that game with the feeling that this was the first time a Michigan fan had ruined a game that I had been looking forward to for so long. I was just genuinely amazed that someone could act like that.
Being from a nearby community, it is good to see these kids have a good role model from their own school. Not saying he is the only one, but Lima can be a rough city.
He also took Clemson last night, Arizona and MSU to Final Four, and a lot of other terrible picks. They always talk about his bad picks. This is a good thing.
My years on the blog do give me a general, rational notion as to what should be the topic of a thread (seems most agree on here). Would I care if it was a comment in some general thread relating to UM bball? No. Is this substance what you want to see for threads? I guess if we want people to just start creating threads for every thought that enters their minds then this is thread worthy.
We won a game yesterday that we wouldn't have won in years past. That is a great sign to me. I hope we shoot well today and start to get back on a roll. Go Blue.
Do you have some type of hate for him? They had injuries to key players and, as mentioned, lost Lynch due to sexual misconduct issue. Unless Pitino had something to do with allowing him to continue playing or some other action benefiting the player, I don't see why on Earth Minnesota would fire him.
IMO, this wasn't a great thread for your first post.
Osu should be coming back to reality. I have been trying to figure out how they beat MSU and Purdue (although they’re struggling). I don’t think osu is even a top 20 team. Most is due to favorable conference schedule in a weak year.
This is the most undisciplined game I can remember a Harbaugh coached team playing in a long time. Penalties on top of penalties and punting to them with 4 mins left(kick it OB, anyone?)..This is what had me the most angry. Glad we could get the win I guess.
Yet fans still question the staff for taking commitments from some recruits. It continues to make me chuckle that anyone would question a coaching staff with so much experience and success.
Indiana and Ohio are pretty much the same states. The people are as well. I've lived in Ohio my entire life and went to my grandparents' lakehouse in Indiana all the time growing up. I've had my fair share of experiences in both states and can't tell the difference between the people.
Reading the last paragraph, he seems to be insinuating that we will be an RB by committee type team. In that regard, it appears he thinks the yards will be distrubuted between RBs with Evans having the most yards. I don't read it as a dire warning but a good sign that our backs will split some carries and thus keep them healthier throughout the season.

I am "very, very happy" he did not get the job. Worked out for Michigan and worked out for Providence. Everyone wins.
Imagine what Zavier Simpson will do to this kid as a freshman...

Sad to see this news. He seems like a great young man that was on his way to a possible All-Star game appearance. Heal quickly.
This is terrific. Great work, OP! Enjoy the game.
I think the best answer for both PSU/UM and Neb/OSU, and judging both both outcomes, smart people put big money on both UM and Nebraska.
Sucks for college football if this starts to become a trend. However, I can't blame the kid. This is a business with his money on the line.
