A take from one of their big time bloggers….my wife who is a lifelong Cane fan is beside herself especially after we actually went to the Broyles Award lunch and saw Gattis win. Don’t think he will be coaching much soon…..
I think he got word that the university refuses to budge on academics for the portal and is “poo pooing” setting up and NIL program like other universities. Everyone outside of B1G has always said for as big as Michigan is in sports how little they support the athletes….and it’s time to pay the piper. TAMU/OSU/SEC hell even Miami (YTM) has a robust or the beginnings of a robust NIL program with millions of dollars flowing in from alumni and sponsors of the universities. Look at who is sponsoring or set up a sponsorship for a majority of our players…themselves…a family member…twitter blog owners etc. it’s completely and utterly pathetic. The global reach of our alumni base is second to none and our alumni themselves are some of the richest most connected people in business…yet we won’t “stoop to that level” to help our athletes. I hope Jim decides to leave….it will be our just desserts for the abuse he has taken over the years from the fan base and the failure of a university to see the massive potential in marketing this great university. Not to go political but I just hope and pray this isn’t some woke bullshit filtering into our athletic department…if so just put us in the MAC and be done with it.
Long post but current info…..For those of you that were at the FSU game for the last Orange Bowl prepare to be pissed off! The wife is a season ticket holder for Miami(YTM) has been for years and when we were down there for a few games this year it’s ABSOLUTE CHAOS!! Our great businessman Mr Ross is trying to create a “destination area” for the stadium. In 2016 the tennis courts were still under construction which cut close to stadium parking. NOW they are in the process of building a F1 track around the stadium for the Miami Grand Prix….so parking is cut even more. Be prepared to walk a bit to get to the stadium…most will probably park across the street in the Dolphins/Hurricanes Orange lots…up to 3/4-1 mile away. Doesn’t sound like a lot but Florida humidity lol!! As a previous post put Hard Rock is literally in the middles of nowhere hence why Ross is trying to change that. As for leaving after the game….be prepared to sit and wait…the directional traffic flow they have due to the construction is batshit crazy. You may be directed to go in a completely opposite direction than you want….just go with it and have your GPS get you back to where u are staying. GOOD LUCK and GO BLUE!!!!
How much more can we endure? Talk about a complete and utter joke.....other universities have had players suspended by NCAA for much less but won't touch the "mighty sec". Kinda like how espn kowtows to them as well....

Here is the thing....the hurricane warnings for that area are already terminated. The biggest wind gust forecast is 50 miles an hour on Friday. They aren't putting people in danger by keeping the game in Miami, the danger would be moving it at this late stage. Baring a massive loss of power, which is highly doubtful for that area dude to the grid being run off the turkey point nuke plant, the game will go on....its that simple.
