Yea if I am coaching peewee…

Yea if I am coaching peewee basketball, talk shit eat shit.

Michigan basketball making multi millions $$$, you got not have bias and coach objectively.  I wasn't a fan of Jay harbaugh in the beginning but he showed results. Nepotism is almost never good. Got lucky once

In NFL I would imagine every…

In NFL I would imagine every inch can count. Without basis who would you pick the guy who can jump 5in less? You can probably fit a football in that space alone. What you are saying can work out in college but in NFL technique alone cannot make it otherwise lot of Michigan player would have been successful since we have had players being great at college but not so much in NFL. When you are investing millions, every detail counts in my opinion

For Purdue? What seats and…

For Purdue? What seats and how much?

Shiiiit...

I don't hear…

Shiiiit...

I don't hear about warde too much but I have been neutral-positive about him but if you look at it this way it definitely makes him not so great and we should do better.

Wonder what the positive thing he has done for Michigan. Howard hire? Felt like that was taking a chance in the beginning

If you can spend $1k more…

If you can spend $1k more look into the Hisense L5 100 short throw projector. I have one and bought it on sale from buy dig. It comes on sale on Slickdeals roughly once a month.  It comes with a ALR 100 inch screen that you mount on the wall and a projector box that is roughly 1ft away from the screen wall. It is roughly 16in off the ground. I recommend this for sports because to me the big screen was a huge deal. With the ALR screen it does pretty well in sunlight and doesn't need the pitch dark rooms. The colors are not going to pop like an OLED but good enough in my opinion. The installation can be a hassle but recently saw the deal including installation.

Can we have those stats when…

Can we have those stats when we play them? I would 100% be satisfied if we Washington them unlike few others. But hey 357yds on the ground with our crew would make me giddy

Nothing short of playing…

Nothing short of playing Alabama in the NC game and winning it. We forget lot of people had this year marked as 7 win game, I think we make it without question. The coaches and players have improved compared to last year. And idk enough about college football coaches to have an opinion on who is better that we can reasonably get than what we have right now. The stats are honestly way better than what was expected 3.5 games.

But don't get me wrong I get upset too having to worry every game if we are going to win or not.

Last season was so bad it…

Last season was so bad it counted as an off-season

This saying that college…

This saying that college athletes are kids is Bullshit. These are 18 to 22 year olds. Between this age you are expected to do many things towards your future, responsible for many things that can affect your life. In this day and age, responsibility of yourself and your image to the public starts very early in life with the internet and social life. There is a record of everything posted online for years to come. To burn bridges and talk trash about the place you went to school (and now semiprofessional with NIL) or work is not a smart thing to do.

Another point in this direction is these two players are outliers in their behavior. Majority of transfer students don't trash their previous program or work place. They pay their respects for what they gained good or bad and leave on good terms. These college athletes are not kids anymore. If they still are they shouldn't have adult responsibilities. It is ok to critize their behavior, similar to what Devin Gardner said. Of course like all things, this is not black and white and there's a line you shouldn't cross when criticizing the college athletes. They aren't kids anymore and we need to change our mindset and not see them as kids just because they are younger than majority of us.

After 2020 may want to…

After 2020 may want to rethink that, the doctors got treated as an expendable in this country.

Didn't Dax Hill do that to…

Didn't Dax Hill do that to Alabama?

I hope you mean Nebraska

I hope you mean Nebraska

Always a funny line, but…

Always a funny line, but wanna raise a point/awareness that healthcare workers are actually getting paycuts in this current situation despite hospitals running at capacity with no beds available and ridiculous amount of turnovers. Advice to you, Try not to get sick and not just covid, be compliant with your doctors recommendations about your chronic issues, take care of your elderly/disabled family members as a lot of them are getting neglected

I know what you mean. Rudock…

I know what you mean. Rudock  was a great QB, that Florida game was one of the best. But if I remember right we were frustrated with him. Our defense was amazing and I would take 2015 defense any day. Peppers was a game changer. But the offense looked great I believe mainly because of Jedd Fisch and all the crazy plays we were doing. Our offense has gotten very predictive.  Our QB is better now compared to last year. Our WRs and TE are worse. And this maybe the worst CB play I have seen out of Michigan in the decade. Dax is doing his damn best to make that secondary not not be absolute crap.

Exactly! And its just for 2…

Exactly! And its just for 2 months.. 2 effing months of quarantine and we would have been done and be talking about college football. But no.. this is the future we live in

You can't teach children how…

You can't teach children how to stay safe even with a minimized class. Kids' main job is to be gross. Sneeze and touch everyone and everything else, which is why they get sick so often. It's going to be really hard.

I understand this, but as…

I understand this, but as doctors we joke about at work how future pulmonologist and other specialities are gonna be rich in next few decades because they got a huge spike in patient population who are gonna have chronic lung disease, heart failure, kidney disease and who knows what else. We don't know enough about this virus and the long-term effects. This future vaccine isn't going to stop this, that's the consensus we have amongst my colleagues. Its going to be like the flu but worse because you also get flu once flu season starts. When comparing into flu, I mean the mutations and seasonal. You can already see that within the country. The northern starts are going to start seeing a spike while the southern states come close to peak, hopefully start trending down just as the norther states hit the beginning of round 2.

Funny how you are so…

Funny how you are so confident in your answer that this policy is not anti-immigrants despite the track record of this gop government. From day 1 they have been trying to close borders and make it harder for immigrants to come into this country, then develop ICE holding cells for the immigrants already in this country. Now you are ok with the government to force universities' hands into opening up their campus so you could sit on your ass to watch college football this fall. All this when universities are already working together to create a safe environment for their students. Funny how conservatives were against increasing government involvement into daily matters but now it's ok cause you are afraid of spending fall weekends with the family instead of in front of a TV

Just because you are a…

Just because you are a politician doesn't mean you aren't human without empathy. It seems our politician care more about making the rich richer than about the general public. So things that make less money equal bad despite sacrificing humanity and if you pay attention to multiple sources of news rather than just 1 you will realize that one party is for the rich and the other is trying to help the public in some way even if not perfect. Hence why something that shouldn't be political is now political.

The board got infected with…

The board got infected with Covid-20. Have your computer wear McAfee mask to protect itself!

I wonder what started this…

I wonder what started this issue to begin with that created this post.. Oh that's right it was our government creating this issue. Politics is now everywhere because our government wants to make everything political to divide America.. including sports if you haven't noticed. Everything is red vs blue the ultimate sports for your future. Pick a side and root for them just like you used to every weekend.

After seeing this I wonder…

After seeing this I wonder what Trump's golf skills are like. What does he score? Is it similar to The Glorious Leader Kim Jong-Un and only does hole in ones?

On topic, great response from our University supporting international students. This country owes a great lot to foreign minds.

The bad part about this news…

The bad part about this news is that this record is the result of events 1-2 weeks ago. The next 2 weeks.. expect rise in deaths AND a new record in cases.

Wear your masks and spend time outside in the open than crowded in bars and restaurants. The outside air is only very mildly poisonous and kills you when you are old.

Yea cause if they did that…

Yea cause if they did that now the top 10 would consist of 1-8 SEC #9/10 OSU/Clemson

Why just Americans and lets…

Why just Americans and lets simplify it and say all people and the world will be a better place. And I agree with you, tying it with "joy they give us"   makes it (can't think of the word) bad?

So he can play QB? Is this…

So he can play QB? Is this how it works?

Maryland to win Big10.

Maryland to win Big10.

I believe this was the…

I believe this was the initial solution, not a solution forever as it would not allow for opening things back up. If you open things up you are not going to flatten the curve it's going to go right back up. We need mass testing to see who is positive, who has antibodies, who has not been exposed to create a triage of people able to open things back up. We need more of a lot of things which need gov funding and direction which is not set up (place blame at who you like). Opening up blindly isn't going to flatten the curve. It's only going to repeat the cycle of lockdown and hurt the economy.

It doesn't need everyone…

It doesn't need everyone. How often do you think a rural hospital needs actual ICU care? Imagine if they get even 10 cases? Does the hospital have enough and proper PPE? Imagine the number of ventilators available at that rural hospital. Imagine the staff available. The hospitals in urban areas are unable to staff their own hospital in this situation. Medical staff have their own co-morbidities and some don't want to risk it. There's a lot of things that can fuck up a rural hospital and it doesn't  take much. That's the issues we need to consider. Just like issues the OP raised in opening it up. White house guidelines don't even have solutions for the issues the OP brought up. And they are legit issues that need to be taken care of before we open up. Otherwise in 2 months we will have to lockdown again. And that will only hurt us more. It was proven in Italy just weeks ago. When hospitals get overwhelmed we saw what happens. Elderly giving up ventilators for younger people. People were crying when they would hear that Italy had 800 deaths in 1 day. Guess how many we had today?

OP raised a lot of great issues that don't have solutions and they are factors that will make opening up worse. There is a way to do it.

You do realize that its not…

You do realize that its not just the elderly that are dying. This was a mistake by the media as portraying covid as a "boomer" disease. People in their 40s and 50s are dying. If you are obese you have a significant mortality rate from Covid. And last I checked we are the fattest country in the world

People keep blaming big…

People keep blaming big cities as the source for locking things up. But the rural areas are one of the reasons why this lockdown is necessary.  Lets say a small town in northern michigan gets a delivery from an urban area and somehow this small town gets a case of Covid. They may get lucky not to spread it but once it is spread the hospital in that area does not have the means to take care of everyone that gets sick. They all are not gonna get transported to a bigger hospital either because they won't accept the transfer. And now they will die because the hospital does not have the resources to care of the patients. This is why the lockdown is important for both the rural and urban areas.

In my opinion, instead of…

In my opinion, instead of looking at the White House guidelines for reopening we should be looking at other countries. Our white house has mostly failed us in handling this situation including the preparations, the bailout, the production, and is now actively working to cause a strife in the public by having us go against each other. If we want to re open we need mass testing, we need to see how many already have antibodies, and like you said increased production in hand sanitizers ppe for not only the hospital which is still lacking but the general public. We also need bailout money not for business that have been making profits in the millions with tax havens and buybacks but small businesses and those who cannot go back to work. We still need a limited work force and continue work from home where possible and as much as possible. There are a lot of things that need to be done before we can open the country let alone the world and currently our government does not have YOU as an infividual as high of a priority when considering opening things back up.

There are so many things…

There are so many things that's upset me about this situation including what you mentioned. CDC fucked up by creating an shit test kit and the results time in the beginning were criminal. More than a week to get covid test results back.

One of the worst is that we are cutting doctors salaries in these times. They are not getting hazard pay like our nursing colleagues. Resident doctors are even worse. They had just started out in the medical field being abused for minimum wage and getting thrown at this as sacrifice lamb being forced to take care of covid patients and   they have no rights in the employment culture. No one to fight for them. At least nurses have unions and now NY is offering hazard pay in the upwards of 10k a week while doctors have the Same exposure risk and get pay cuts.

People say medical field is a respectable profession and as an Asian immigrant being a doctor is very families dream like the stereotype. But after this it is the worst job you can pick. People do not let your kids become doctors. It is absolutely not worth it. It's basically the middle class of professions.

Btw this my opinion but if…

Btw this my opinion but if the stay at home order was not done or people did not follow it. I would not be surprised at all if the first part of the story becomes true. Right now the worst part is Patients come to ED are covid positive but don't look bad so they are sent home. Suddenly they are dead at home within a day or 2. Normally those patients would be in the hospital for observation but right now there are hospitals in our country that can't afford to observe patients. Which is something we cannot completely predict who will take that downturn.

This is why decisions need to be left to medical professional and not to fucking Trump and his nonsense with ulterior motive. I didn't like Trump before but now his hands are dirty with blood of thousands of Americans. Hate to bring politics to this sub but since we are taking about covid I think it's fair. Also this bullshit with chloroquine is lies. It has not been shown to be effective. Otherwise doctors would be touting that shit. Not our ignorant president. A small clinical trial was done which showed some efficacy but it's not always working. We are throwing darts with one eye open basically. Follow medical research if you want to know more.

That's my rant because the ignorance makes me sick and has been putting my friends and family at risk. Stay the fuck home and stop seeing people that are not your household

The first part is likely…

The first part is likely false as the story shared to me so you maybe completely right to call bullshit sorry for using that as my argument. But the second part is correct. You can Google hospital wide DNR policy and you will see multiple results but none are fully implemented to my knowledge because it would be an ethical and legal nightmare.

In medicine doctors are taught do no harm. It is the same reason why open heart surgery won't be offered if the surgeon knows the patient will die on the table. The same applies here during the pandemic. An elderly patient has almost 0% chance of surviving CPR and better chance to be extubated if they go on a ventilator. But with Covid what we are seeing is higher mortality once a patient needs invasive mechanical ventilation. Sure you hear about 101 yo person serving covid, but for everyone of those news there's hundreds of not thousands dying on the ventilator. This is considered futile care and in my opinion good doctors shouldn't offer ventilation to 80 yo people with significant medical history. The difficulty lies in what is considered significant and that's why there's no hospital wide policy.

The second reason being, because our government and administrators fucked up, we don't have the proper resources. Mechanical ventilation aerosolizes the virus making it more infectious. They need to be in negative pressure rooms which are a handful in any given hospital not 300 rooms like the patient count that are covid positive. And CPR also aerosolizes the virus as well. In my short experience, no patient has walked out of the hospital that had CPR done. None. And during this pandemic that 0 is probably even worse.

People think ventilators are life saving devices. They are life prolonging. You don't walk out being the same after being intubated once. That's also a history of being intubated is acomorbidity now

People who are experts on…

People who are experts on pandemics should be making the decisions. Not politicians and economists because their priorities are not healthcare. If you don't understand how bad Covid 19 was. Talk to a doctor or nurse and you will understand how bad the death rates and the admissions were, also how badly administrators who don't do patient care handled this mess.

I know peoplehad to be turned away from hospital admission because we knew they would die and it is futile. There are ppl we don't even offer the option for ventilators. Things we would look as ethically and morally wrong before this pandemic and now doctors are making the hard decisions. Instead we had the public call us heroes for risking ours and families lives but not seeing that we aren't heroes, our government scarified us and many others including the public. Then there are others who are sitting at home safe because the stay at home order is working is calling this pandemic a hoax and trying to downplay.

When Iread this blog is when I understand why US is getting fucked and S Korea is handling this better. We could have had an inbetween and kept some things open and had the economy run without this. Except the whole fucking world, not just US, fucked it up for everyone.

Don't think getting rid of…

Don't think getting rid of Harbaugh does anything good. The offense limiting factor is the QB, scheme is not bad just can't make the plays. Majority of that falls on the QB making the read but some on the QB coach. Time to hire the best QB coach out there. Which idk who it is as I am not as knowledgeable in that

My issue with the 6 team…

My issue with the 6 team playoff is that Alabama or 2nd SEC team is going to always be the 6th team.

It got bokeh'd behind 2019

It got bokeh'd behind 2019

This is my biggest concern…

This is my biggest concern as well. Every year in the past I feel like we did not have to worry about the Dline. But this past year Gary was gone half the season and Winovich got hurt at the end, our line did not give me confidence like the past. And we have no one that we can place 100% trust on this year either. On top of that it doesn't seem like we are in on any top 5 Dline guy for next year. Can only hope someone develops into that monster we have every year.

Also your other ideas for articles are great idea to have in the downtime. Can help the optimism for the upcoming season, cause I am excited for this offense and to see what the Hills can do on the field.

This is the theory I agree…

This is the theory I agree with. And if I got Harbaugh's personality right then I don't think he will sit still with the offence. I think he is going to learn few tricks from Gattis, and be ready to make the next young and upcoming OC hire and use his tricks.

I hope Gattis stays 2 years at Michigan. But if he gets the results we have been hoping for, he is going to be gone next year. 100%
