Where exactly was TWill dribbling to? The press was already broken, if ya don't dribble into 3 defenders you don't have a chance to turn it over and cause them to foul if ya stop in the center of the court out around the top of the key.
Remember back during fall camp when MSU was imploding losing what 13 players after said 1-8 BT record last year? Most M fans dismisssed their ability to even field a comparable team to last years. Their O-line is a train wreck yet they somehow gameplanned to beat M.
PSU?? Yep M did house them last year, remember that they also won the BT and played in Rose Bowl? Breaks their way? Absolutely against OSU. Doesn't take away the fact they won the BT-3 years after basically the death penatly.
3 years in with an O-line has not shown much improvement...worrisome.
And what did those OL do for the squad last year in the games M lost, oh yea M got outrushed and they couldn't be leaned on to put those games away. Same results this year. With o pro background OL coach, M cannot identify blitzers that have a free run at the QB? In week 11? Having your son coach RB's(1st year} and your old buddy coaching interior line along with play calling duties...dunno but there's not a good mesh there. At least last year the RB's picked up the blitz ALOT better.
Read many times reguarding development. Up until Rutgers this weekend please describe said development this year.Ok, Indiana rushing the ball..but really Indiana? Pulease..with this staff of pro coaches where has the weekly improvement been? M has been stubborn with QB decisions, play calling to put your players in a place to succeed and take advantage of 10 men in the box. Coach brings in a proven o=line coach from Indiana, yet in the '18 class there is 2 OT "prospects" that will need a couple years to be ready. Where is the biggest need? Yet no one on the radar that that could possibly address that soon. Now I get frosh OT aren't the theat's not the best scenario...but Mason Cole did pretty well undersized at LT.
Troubling thing is, the red zone numbers. You can as a play caller adjust your game plan based on what the defense is doing against you. Stacking the box, spread it out go shot gun throw quick timing passes then go back to your manball playbook. Play call them out of their game plan.

Great point, especially with picking up free runners at the QB. RB's have a say in that help as well and....not so much this year.
