WBB Gondrezick averaging 45 PPG

Submitted by All Day on

WBB commit Kysre Gondrezick is averaging 45 points PER GAME through seven games this year. I saw this in the local paper when I was in SWM a few weeks ago, but her average has actually gone up since dropping 51 in a loss over the weekend. An interesting note: Benton Harbor has never had a Ms. Basketball player in their history. Pretty remarkable for a program that turned out Destiny Williams and the older Gondrezick.

Impressive. They've had some great athletes come out of their men's program and go to the NBA. I'm admittedly uninformed about their women's program, though.

Based on the way the WBB team is playing, she will be needed.  They have lost 5 of the last 6, and will likely finish near the bottom of the BIG 10.

It's been a tough stretch lately, but the last three losses were by 2 points, by 1 point, and in OT. They were leading all three in the fourth quarter and easily could have (and probably should have) won them all. If they can figure out how to close out games, they could still finish in the middle of the conference, which was the preseason projection.

I'll have to head over and check out one of her games!  To the poster above, the WBB at Benton Harbor is kind of similar to the football program, but with more success lately.   Lot of untapped talent.  Obviously it is easier to capitalize off the talent in bball compared to football.
