For those of you that want to vote for QUinn Nordin for Big Ten Offensive Player Of The Week.....yeah, I am totally in support of that.

We did a nice job on special teams today, up to and including the return for a TD by Peoples-Jones.

Bright years a head of us with the youth we have on special teams. One request is take Crawford off KR. He has not had a burst yet back there. He actually doesn't even look comfortable or confident whenever he gets the ball.

Hart's good for one shank a game which makes me wonder how bad Robbins is, but Big Dick Quinn is the man, man. Also- kick coverage, excellent. It's great when Foug lofts it right to the goal line, more effective than a touchback with our speed coming downfield.

We have to work on punt protection. If that doesn't change we're going to get blocked a few times in B1G play. Return game is looking up though.

Gets an A+++. Nordin is a robot with swagger. Foug is a straight up kick off pimp and coverage teams are taking advantage of his high kicks landing lazily around the 3 yard line to force a return. Brilliant!
DPJ showed us why he is worth the risk on punt and kick off returns.

I think we saw the special teams' best game thus far. Wild Thing is Wild Thing, scoring like crazy and winning us this game. I thought DPJ has basically figured out how to field and return punts and kicks. He is startig to match Peppers more and more (he never will quite get to that level, but he will become an equally reliable return man). My only complaint is punting. We have had a variety of short punts going out of bounds over the last two games. This needs to be fixed.

So what is the deal with Robbins?  Just not ready?  Because that's a lot of shanked punts through 3 games.  

Other than that, GO SPECIAL TEAMS!! Wild Thing and DPJ putting points on the board!

Quinn is fantastic. I am glad we picked him up. DPJ stepped up today. He had a great return and did a great job of clearing people away from the short punt. Punting is bad and worries me. I feel like our return team sometimes sends too many people forward like they are going to block and then they do not go for the block and are too far forward to help setup for the return.
