Wtf happened at the end of the game? Poole was dribbling it out, like every basketball game and the idiot refs runs in and calls travel. Then somehow michigan inbounds it. Had we called a timeout just before to sub?

He wasn't signaling for a travel, it was the motion for substitutions. The reason he kept doing it was because the timeout was not for real strategic purposes, JB just wanted to get MAAR out of the game. The ref knew this and wanted to stop the two teams from going to their benches and huddling up, hence the continuous and emphatic motion.

Did people think the officiating was that bad? Big miss on the Poole drive, late in the game Wagner basically shoved a guy out of bounds and didn't get called. They had two guys foul out. Seemed like they let them play.

no, I thought it was fine. they were calling the pushoffs which is good. I have how much ballhandlers can get away with.

there was a play late i n the game where I thought we drew a charge and it wasn't called, but there were bad calls both ways.

But that doesn't make it better. There were horrible calls and missed calls both ways. Wesson posted up and strapped Wagner's arm down like a seatbelt for several seconds before the ball got to him and Wagner got whistled for a reach in. As a former water polo player, thats a strong, smart play from an offensive center. In basketball, it's getting away with murder.

I think basketball is really hard to officiate, but good God.  Letting Tate, Bates-Diop and the big guy inside push off, hook and travel their way to the basket most of the time is frustrating.  I don't know what was a violation.  A touch foul is called, and then Tate runs over Poole and MAAR and gets an and one.  They also were literally blocking people on screens.  Holtmann has them playing hard, but they definitely were allowed to gain an advantage in physicality.  The biggest load of crock is when Michigan has a 7-2 foul advantage that magically disappears.  I was also upset when they wrongly overturned an out of bounds play that gave the Bucks a 3 pointer.  Also, in the refs eyes, Bates-Diop can do no wrong.  You don't have to be in the NBA to get star calls.

I am not a Steratore fan for basketball.  I don't watch much pro football so he doesn't bother me there.

Big East officials in general are much better than B10 officials.  They allow more physical play but will call things that should be called.  There is much better flow in the games.

They also don't stop the game for several minutes to give a team with 1 timout a freebie.  I don't care if it was to review the clock, the shouldn't have had the extended stoppage there.  Steratore is becoming famous for his stoppages to look at replay.  This isn't the NFL!

I’d argue some fans don’t know the game or just want to be “The Non Ref Hating Guy” how about the 3-4 chicken wing hooks OSU center used on Mo. Or maybe the time KBD ran through 2 Michigan defenders and some how the 2nd UM defender got called for the block. Maybe the time Teske went straight up for the ball and got called for a foul??? Any more you need?

The 3rd on Mo where Wesson grabbed his arm and dragged him around for 3 steps...then a foul on Mo

And the last one on MAAR where Tate pushed him in the face, then kept a hand extended in his chest...foul on MAAR.

We’re terrible. And Steratore was watching those intently if you watch the replays.

The last one on Mo giving Tate an and one was awful too.

But overall, just kind of bad both ways.
